Jimmie Johnson has one thing in common with Dale Earnhardt Jr., they both like Chevy Camaros.

Jimmie has a ’67 that he is very proud of. Junior has a 1972 Camaro — and he helped design and build a special edition 2010 Camaro that he tested in Australia.

Its really built around Randy Dorton and an engine that was built in his honor

We unfortunately lost Randy, along with 9 others on a plane crash in 2004, .

The engine came from the Hendrick engine shop.

It was being auctioned off in his memory, with the proceeds going to his foundation.

I decided that engine could not go any farther, so I bought that engine.

We built this Camaro around it.

Its made this Camaro so special to me.

    He is also a corvette fan too always wanted to have one so I gave him a 1987 steel model/Jmmy you are the man –but I still hope Jeff can get it together THIS YEAR!

    3. hello Jimmy, i sure hope you guys come to race at Kentucky Speedway, that is aboue the only way i can come see you race as it is so expensive, and i am a hugh fan of yours. Would like to know your thoughts on coming here.

    10. I’m a BIG NASCAR fan and Jeff is one of the best out there and Jimmy your going to be just as GREAT !!! I have a lot of your die cast and some are very limited !! THX for all you do on and off the track. I hope to meet you and Jeff some time when your in Phx.Az., I have meant Dale Jr. 1999 when Jeff won the (now) Nation Wide race and Dale Jr. won the Chaptionship that year,(Dale Jerret won the Winston cup that year). You Jeff and Dalle kick butt and keep up the good work.

    12. my husband is 63 years and a big nascar fan. he is a gear/motr head for years since the sixties. he has restored a 67 gto but must sell it since his stroke in2003. hopefully, if we win this car he’ll get his interest back. he is a former viet nam vet and in the military 21 years and watches nascar every week. go hendricks team. you guys are the greatest team in nascar.

    18. In 2005 I was Ryan Newman’s honorary crew member, because of a contest! Have been a Nascar follower for years! Like Jeff Gorden lot and of course Ryan Newman! I am retired from the US AIR FORCE, and will be 90 years young on July 29 2011! I have a 66 Chevelle with 500 HP, and a lot of other good stuff! It would be an honor to meet Jimmy Johnson and ask him if the color on his camero’ is color is the new 2011 GM Red Jewel tint coat? My Chevelle had a fire so that is the color it will be after rebuild! I don’t know what I’d do with that beautiful Comero of Jimmie’s except love every minute of driving it!!!!!!! Bill
