Why Dale Jr Won’t Quit Any Time Soon
Dale Jr said he isn’t done with racing any time soon, but he does talk about what he plans to do when he hangs the helmet up. This may be a pretty short video but Dale Jr answers some pretty big questions in it like:
- Why he would retire from racing.
- Where he would race at if not in the Cup series.
- How long he plans to drive.
- Would he consider becoming a Cup car owner?
- Would he consider a 2nd career in broadcasting?

JR, i never miss a race, at the track or on TV, have followed your dad and you since day 1. A little kind aggression on the track. you have a long time to race, i will say PUT THE PEDAL TO THE METAL & LET THE GOOD TIME’S ROLL.

I hope Jr. stays with the sprint cup, or at least drives the nationwide race. I will miss seeing him on t v if he don’t race at all. i want to see him win some races. Go, JUNEBUG GO, GO ,GO.

I keep thinking that something is wrong. Dale Jr. should be winning. He should always be in the top 10 and the end of a race. At times, it appears that he is just not aggressive enough. At time, he appears to just let cars pass his car. At times, he appears to be frustrated. Perhaps it is time for Jeff Gordon and him to hook up and race togather as apposed to being with Jimmie Johnson all of the time.

jr it wouldnt be the same, i moved here from fla in 94 and the first race i went your dad changed his color of his car, i loved the way he raced that was my kinda racing, so u cant retire yet your to young, i will say this year you need to grow some big balls and drive it like you stole it, good luck this yr your the man with the plan

I can’t imagine a race without an Earnhardt in it, especially Jr. I followed his Dad from the first race he drove after leaving school and I have followed Jr from the first day he got behind the wheel at a vey young age. Jr has so much to offer the racing world and his fans. I am glad to hear him say he isn’t going anywhere any time soon. I get so tired of people ragging on him, I want to scream. His Dad had his style of racing and even though he taught Jr everything he knew and could, Jr is a different personality and has his own way of thinking and driving. When he drives onto the track and he has a god car, it is dialed in where he wants it, he is comfortable and sets his mind to just having fun, that is when he drives the wheels off of it and he is a force to be reckoned with. I am a DIE HARD Earnhardt Fan and I haven’t missed a race for the last 30 plus years. Even when both Jr and his Dad where in their teens I hunted through the TV stations, Sports Stations and Radio Stations just to not miss a race that they were driving in. YOU GO JR, I THINK THAT 2012 IS YOURS AND THE 88 TEAMS FOR THE TAKING!

Why retire? Dale Earnhardt Jr is a smart race car driver. He stays out of the way, leads few laps fall back and gets out of the way to save his car, and makes millions from marketing himself. Most Poplar Driver and will Always be and could finish 43rd in every race, and have millions of fans. What you see is exactly Dale Earnhardt Jr.
I have been to some races, and after the race see drivers be totally butts if you ask for autograph, not Dale Earnhardt Jr. or his team. After you meet Dale Earnhardt Jr you feel like you are his equal and part of the team and family. He cares so much about his fans. Dale Earnhardt Jr has a huge heart, feelings on his sleeve, and since 02/18/2001, he is very careful, and races as a job. Before it was where is dad and wanted to race against Dale Sr. Then it was FUN, now it is a job.

So glad Jr. is thinking like Morgan Sheppard! I think this season is going to be alot better, I read about some changes made on his crew in the off season that really needed to be done. As far as doing tv–he did a radio show that was fun to listen to, and I still miss it. He will do well no matter what he does. Received my tickets for PIR today. I will be there cheering him on!!! GOOOO Jr.

First of all….Dale Jr. is and always will be my driver as long as he is in that car. No matter who he drives for, or what number is on the side of his car. Now….as for the “Village Idiot”..(she knows who she is) I will say this…You should go to your room and grow up a LOT!! You and your dumb cutsy remarks just shows everyone your mentality. So Jr. hasn’t won for awhile…there are plenty more in that situation. Name one…Jimmy Johnson did not win the championship last year…so guess he is on your “can’t drive, can’t win” list????? Did you WATCH the race where it was JUNIOR that pushed Jimmy to the front for the win???? Do you even KNOW how many times Dale Jr. HAS WON a race???? I have followed racing when and since Richard Petty was still racing, and from your childish remarks, I seriously doubt that you have watched Nascar very long at all. My advice to you is…get off of whatever it is you are smoking!! Goooo Dale Jr. All of us fans are behind you 100 %!!
