Hamlin – Driver of the No.11 FedEx Toyota won the Pocono 500 on his first attempt
at the
Pennsylvania
race track – and he gave credit to Sierra’s NASCAR
Racing video game for the win.
Hamlin spent as much as 3 hours a day driving Pocono Raceway on the
Sierra game, and he openly credited the game for his
win.
"They got every tree on the site, everything's mapped out perfect.
Visually, I know where my letoff points are," Hamlin
said of the Papyrus designed NASCAR Racing video game.
"I honestly didn't think it would be this easy," Hamlin
said after the win.
Dale Earnhardt Jr – Driver if the No. 88 Amp / National
Guard Chevrolet
is also a big fan of online racing. He and
Martin Truex Jr –
Driver of the No. 1 Bass Pro Shops Chevy compete
against each other on the race track – and in online sim
racing.
Elliott Sadler – Driver of the No. 19 Dodge is a fan of EA Sports’ NASCAR 07.
“There are a few
new things I really like about the game,” Sadler said.
“The sense of speed is great. You pass cars they are
kind of blurry and this really helps you feel the speed.
We play a lot. On my bus we play between five and
seven hours a day. We're into it. We have two Xbox 360's
linked together, so it's pretty neat.”
Tony Stewart – Driver of the No. 20 Home Depot Toyota is on the cover of NASCAR 08 by EA
Sports. “I am really impressed with the next generation
game features and graphics. The realism and authenticity
are amazing,” said Stewart.
Kyle Busch and his brother Kurt Busch – both NASCAR drivers – are also big fans of EA
Sports NASCAR 07. "As usual, the NASCAR games are pretty
much what we are, said Kyle."
