If Barack Obama ran NASCAR here’s what you might see
Barack Obama’s tax plan - designed to “Spread the Wealth” - will have a direct impact on your bank account if he gets elected.
There is also a plan to Spread the Wealth in Racing.
RacingWin.com has obtained a copy of the plan from a high-ranking political official. Here is how the plan affects racing.
Spread the Wealth Plan for NASCAR Racing
- Starting lineups will be determined by qualifying speed with slower cars staring at the front of the field in order to offset any advantage gained by faster cars that came to the track better prepared.
- Additionally, the slowest qualifier will be given the first choice in pit stalls.
- During caution periods all cars one or more laps down will receive the” Lucky Dog,” allowing all cars to return to the lead lap.
- Teams with huge corporate sponsors shall be required from time to time to remove sponsor decals from their race cars and furnish those decals to unsponsored teams so that all race teams may be able to equally share in sponsorship.
- All money collected from sponsors shall be put into a special pool that will be re-distributed at the direction of President Obama.
- Drivers shall alternate race wins so that all drivers get a chance to win a race. No driver shall be permitted to win 2 races until all drivers have won at least one race.
- Prize money shall be equally divided between all competitors regardless of finishing order.
Does this make any sense? Not at all. But then again, neither does Obama’s “Spread the Wealth” philosophy. Do we need to elect Joe the Plumber instead?

Good column, I will not vote for a muslim whom wasn’t born in the USA. He has dual citizenships from Kenya and the US but was born in Kenya. The Democrats are so stupid to have this person(boy) running from thier party.
I have never voted for a Republican in my life and this year I will be voting for McCain/Palin party. At least the McCains are supporters of NASCAR and have made many races over the years. Mrs McCain is an avid NASCAR fan too.
What did Obama Bin Idiot do? He promised to sponsor a Nationwide car and then reniged on the deal.

The NASCAR drivers are paid to do what they do, and their lifestyle affects their driving, so NASCAR has a right to have rules. obama is not going to pay us to live like he will tell us. UNKJIME-stimo you are not going to change my mind I voted today for Obama. Your argument flies in the face of reality. Perhaps those who believe four more years of 8 years we have had is good. I paid quite a bit in taxes last year thank you and I also gave to charities–many including Victory Junction Gang, Riley Hospital for Children, United Way, Tony Stewart Foundation etc etc. I don’t have things I can write off that 6 figure incomes have.If McCain taxes my health benefits I am in an even higher tax bracket no thank you. We will all pay for this bailout that Greenspan admitted was the federal reserves fault. The cure may not be Obama in fact the cure is voting all of the incumbents in Congress out! They have the power. The legislative branch is the most powerful and when I voted today I voted against all incumbents for REAL CHANGE! I don’t believe the fear mongering of the Republicans nor do I believe the socialist angle because we all just socialized Wall St. I didn’t want my reps to bail them out! I don’t live outside my means, I don’t have charge cards, my car is paid off and that is the problem people want, want, want.

Well…here’s the deal. With Obama’s energy plan (and he stated this in the debate) he supports solar and wind power. So, here’s how I see it: NASCAR will no longer be allowed to have access to gas/fuel for “wasteful” purposes. After all, we’ll only be allowed a $10/week allowance for gas. So, let’s all crack open a cold one on Sundays and watch exciting racing at 40 mph using their solar panels!

Diane I am rolling my eyes on your post. Back in the 70’s they shortened races 50 laps and no one cared. Many of the drivers and teams think some of the races are too long. I would not mind seeing races shortened to 400 miles especially on the tracks that the racing is boring (can you say Bortana) or caution filled tracks such as Talladega. Why is the Craftsman Truck Series so much fun to watch? Because they race from the get go due to shorter races. It is racing in a pure form not so much ride around in the back and wait or just hang around and points race. Those folks go all out every lap. The Brickyard is only 400 miles and if it were 500 it would not be over by dark–especially this year with all the fiasco.

All I can see are people worried about how much money they are or aren’t going to get and how much money they will or won’t have to pay. What we should be focused on is having the repercussions of electing a leader who has no regard for human life. When a man claims that he “would never want one of his daughters punished with a baby” and wants my tax money to provide abortions at any time and to use any means partial-birth or otherwise, I turn a deaf ear to anything else he has to say or offer. Liberty and the pursuit of happiness doesn’t mean much to a person if they are denied the life part. I’m not a death penalty fan either, but comparing the killing of an innocent child to someone condemned to death by a jury of their peers is two totally different things. Any reasonable person can understand that. Since Erin brought religion into the discussion, I believe the killing of innocent life is what the Ten Commandments is referring to. I guess if there had been a ban on rocks, Able may not have been killed by his brother Cain. It’s not a gun problem, it’s a heart problem. Evil people will always think of ways to kill other people. Taking guns away won’t solve the problem. It just makes it harder for law abiding people to protect themselves. There was a 62 year old lady in our local news that shot a man that broke into her home last week. It turned out he had a long criminal record. Tell her she doesn’t need a gun or doesn’t have the right to have one. No charges were filed against her. BTW, I’m educated too.

I’m very familiar with the Patriot Act - and think why that came into being. Because of the muslims that obama supports! And the State of Ohio had no right to investigate Joe the plumber like he was a terrorist, just a common citizen. Now, if the federal government has reason to suspect that he was a terrorist, I can understand it, but that’s not the case at all. obama’s followers are trying to suppress the media and get the fairness doctrine back because he doesn’t like what they say and the questions they ask. What do you call that??? I can deal with the right change, but he doesn’t have the change we need. Socialism is not for me. Mr. Peepers I forgot to say. My dad served 1937-1964 first with the USN in the Pacific theatre from 37-49 then with US Department of Defense from 1950-1964 at Wright Patterson Air Force Base and the Pentagon. My father was an FDR Democrat,Truman Democrat, Kennedy Democrat, a Humphrey Democrat, a Carter Democrat and a Clinton Democrat. Dad was raised in Kentucky as was my mother. They have been Democrats all their life just as my grandparents. Two of my grandparents were Baptist preachers so don’t even go there on religion. The other side Methodist which I am practicing Methodist as is my husband. I am not against religion and I am certainly not a traitor. My son served in the military also and my former spouse was a Vietnam Veteran. He is deceased now because of things that happened to him in Vietnam including drug abuse. The only time either one of us voted Republican was in 1980 for Reagan. I changed my mind in 84 due to his reluctance to do anything for AIDS. I have worked in health care and education my entire life and the ignoring of AIDS by Reagan is one of the worst things that could have happened to the entire world. Reagan was a good man but he did not want to deal with things that effect humanity weather it’s popular or not.

I commend your father’s long service to the country. But I sure wouldn’t brag about voting for Jimmy Carter, the worst president in history! How about Lyndon Johnson? He made a fortune on the Viet Nam war, was a big womanizer, you name it. Of course, Kennedy was no better when it came to women and corruption. My husband also served in Viet Nam, all the medals, etc. Many of my family and friends served. One of my best friends was killed over there. And they would do the same thing all over again. I believe they said obama only worked 143 days in the Senate. I like what one guy on here said, referring to NASCAR - who in their right mind would put a novice race car driver in a Sprint race who had only practiced for 143 days??? At 180 to 200 MPH! Nobody would! And yet people like you are all but killing themselves to get a man elected to the highest position of anyone in the entire U.S. and the world. Jane Fonda said she can’t sleep worrying if obama is going to win or not, giving her backaches, having to take medicine for her worries. How insane can you be!!! And she professes to be a born-again Christian, how can any of you vote for abortion, especially partial-birth abortion? Yet, you wouldn’t vote for Ronald Reagan, one of the greatest presidents of all times, because he wouldn’t fund AIDS!!! Geez, talk about priorities! I have a missionoary cousin in Botswana, and she said you wouldn’t believe those folks. We give them medicine for AIDS - George Bush has sent billions of dollars over there, and they are still just as promiscuous as they were before. Perhaps they have seen their wrongs on ignoring AIDS and now know they should not ignore treatments for it and treatments for other diseases. and Pat here’s another thing…you seem stuck on being promiscuity as the reason AIDS continues to spread that is not necessarily the case. The biggest jump in AIDS is heterosexual females who believed they were in a monogamous relationship. Little did they know their men were out fooling around or having gay affairs? They are INNOCENT victims and would you if you knew you had HIV bring a child into the world knowing it will be infected and die? and if it was not you would more than likely leave it without a parent at some point. Promiscuity is a problem and one of the biggest is in teens. I worked in a high school that had a teen pregnancy rate of 40%–they counted boys who fathered babies and girls. Most of them did not have abortions but most of them did not graduate, had another child within two years and no job living on food stamps and entitlements. We are all footing that bill and believe me I hold the parents responsible for not educating their children not to be parents before they can afford to care for them. These poor babies are sentenced to a life of poverty. Many of them end up abused and neglected and removed from parents and then again we foot the bill. I am not saying abortion is right but I feel that these kids deserve better than that kind of life and before you say put up for adoption–none of them did and it’s because they want those babies to live on entitlements because their parents did. I say stop giving out entitlements to women and girls who keep having kids but aren’t responsible raising them.

Maybe the courthouse in Georgia should employ cops and canine partners? Those dogs can smell weapons we can’t! I am a firm believer in expanding canine officers. They have innate senses we don’t have. Ask the soldiers in Nam how many dogs saved them from land mines etc! You should push your local police departments and all courthouses should have them on duty. There are many things dogs can do better then police alone, drugs, bombs, guns and they just have a sense of who is not a good person. I have one that is so good at smelling drugs he can smell through my open window the kids who walk by smelling like reefer and smoking it. Call the cops on them too when I see them passing it around. My tiny little Jack Russell-Chihuahua mix is just as good so small dogs can be trained to indicate as well.
Now will you call using dogs as police officers and courthouse officers socialism? How about the entitlements these girls get for having babies when they are only 15 years old? then another at 17? We pay for that and yes I’d rather they be put out for adoption but they won’t do that! we can’t sterilize them but I sure wish we could put chastity belts on them–that would be socialism. Abortion is legal but these girls want to live on entitlements and don’t mother their children.

Erin, I have 3 German Shepherds, but if all 3 had been at the courthouse in Atlanta that day, they could not have stopped Brian Nichols from doing what he did. He overtook a deputy, took her gun and went on a rampage, leaving a blood bath. Evidently you are not familiar with that case. I know all about dogs, I’ve had them all my life, and yes, they sense things a human cannot, but in some cases, they could be as helpless as we are. You still didn’t answer the question about capital punishment. obama can’t give straight answers, either. As far as entitlements for the generations started with the teenagers having babies and never getting off welfare, read “Why American Doesn’t Work” by Jack Eckerd and Chuck Colson. It will explain a lot of things to you that we can all thank dear ole Lyndon . Where we lived before, Cynthia McKinney, who is a black militant, and at that time, was a state representative in GA, opened an office, brought in every black person she could and signed them up for every entitlement that could be had. That was about 15 years ago, and I imagine by now, there is a large product of that. And that’s a very small town. I can only imagine what the bigger cities are like. Now, if all those folks were off welfare and paying taxes like we do, we would never have to worry about the country being in debt. But they will continue to bleed us dry, and it will get much worse if obama is elected.
I am aware that promiscuity is not the only cause of AIDS, but in most cases, it is a result of promiscuity on someone’s part at some point and time.

so I can fix the plumbing of everybody who makes less than that for free,’ explains Joe.
‘It’s always been my philosophy.
As a matter of fact, I lobbied government to pass this philosophy as law,
and it did pass earlier this year, so now all plumbers have to do business this way.
It’s known as ‘Joe’s Fair Plumbing Act of 2008.’ Surprised you haven’t heard of it, senator.’
In spite of that, Obama tells Joe there’s no way he’s paying that much for a small plumbing repair,
So Joe leaves.
Obama spends the next hour flipping through the phone book looking for another plumber,
but he finds that all other plumbing businesses listed have gone out of business.
Not wanting to pay Joe’s price, Obama does nothing.
The leak under Obama’s sink goes unrepaired for the next several days.
A week later the leak is so bad that Obama has had to put a bucket under the sink.
The bucket fills up quickly and has to be emptied every hour,
and there’s a risk that the room will flood,
so Obama calls Joe and pleads with him to return.
Joe goes back to Obama’s house, looks at the leaky pipe,
and says ‘Let’s see – this will cost you about $21,000.’
‘A few days ago you told me it would cost $9,500!’ Obama quickly fires back.
Joe explains the reason for the dramatic increase.
‘Well, because of the ‘Joe’s Fair Plumbing Act,’
a lot of rich people are learning how to fix their own plumbing,
so there are fewer of you paying for all
the free plumbing I’m doing for the people
who make less than $250,000.
As a result, the rate I have to charge my wealthy paying customers
rises every day. ‘Not only that,
but for some reason the demand for
plumbing work from the group of people
who get it for free has skyrocketed,
and there’s a long waiting list
of those who need repairs.
This has put a lot of my fellow plumbers out of business,
and they’re not being replaced
– nobody is going into the plumbing business
because they know they won’t make any money.
I’m hurting now too –
all thanks to greedy rich people like you
who won’t pay their fair share.’
Obama tries to straighten out the plumber:
‘Of course you’re hurting, Joe!
Don’t you get it?
If all the rich people learn how to fix their own plumbing
and you refuse to charge the poorer people for your services,
you’ll be broke, and then what will you do?’
Joe immediately replies,
‘Run for president, apparently.’

The end of capitalism, to be replaced by socialism if obama becomes president.

Pat, I talked to a Police Official yesterday, he told me that if Obama is elected NO ONE will be allowed to carry weapons except Police Officers. This would mean that all the hoods on the street may well be armed so Obama is really looking out for the street hoodlums. Bad enough that he wants to put the coal miners out of business to include Ohio. I also listened to a Democrat Congressman state that if the people didn’t like what happens if Obama is elected they more or less could live with it for four years and then vote him OUT, TO LATE

Guess you all have to eat some crow this morning. Ohio went for Obama so I guess they aren’t worried about the coal mines. Virginia and Indiana went for Obama that tells you something too. Young persons made this election and it is their voice that was heard and it should be. This is their country now.

Erin, I was just waiting to hear from you! Yes, the election tells me a lot - young people don’t have a clue what’s going on in the world except what they can get out of it. I would love to know what percentage of the voters work for a living and who’s on welfare. I just hope I get a sizable check! And just because he got the majority doesn’t make it right. He bought the election with the likes of oprah, warren buffett, hollywood and ignorant folks. I hear the party will be buffet with fried chicken, watermelon and poke sallet - did you get your invite yet??? How old are you, by the way, if you don’t mind my asking? This is not an interrogation.

To all the good folks who voted for McCain/Palin, thank you, we did our best. Although they didn’t win, we can say they ran with dignity with no jeremiah wright’s, bill ayers’, khalidi’s, etc., in their closet. Oh, no acorn, either. We can be proud that he is such an honorable man, and I am proud to say I voted for him. He didn’t have oprah, warren buffett, hollywood, etc., behind him, and they all fit very well in the far left wing with obama. It was a done deal before it ever got started. Cooked up in ayers’ living room. Can’t wait to see who he will put in the cabinet. It will be interesting to see what happens. I do hope he will take the oath on the Holy Bible, not the koran. Rolling my eyes at Pat. You conservatives just love to thump that Bible but Christ does not discriminate. McCain is an honorable man. His concession speech was classy. I also believe he will work with Obama. He is a good man and I never said he wasn’t.
Your racist comments are still there, poke salad, fried chicken and watermelon. I asked several professors at Ball State and IU if your previous statement was racist and they agreed with me. I wasn’t over-reacting. Hell yeah “we” are gonna have soul food and Mrs. Obama will be begged by all of the designers to wear their dress for the ball because she is so beautiful, statuesque and has the figure of a fashion model. Cindy McCain had that horrible yellow frock on again last night. I still can’t believe racism is alive and well especially with NASCAR fans. Ask Junior how he feels about your racist comments. I have three ethnic backgrounds, white from Ireland/Scotland/Wales-Catholic and Presbyterian,Black from the Caribbean and Southern Baptists of NC,TN and KY, and Hispanic from the Caribbean. My southern roots love NASCAR but I also love F1 and IRL. I’ve been to the US Grand Prix every year it ran here in Indy. Race is not an issue in F1 and it is not in NASCAR except for it’s old guard like you. BTW I am 50 years old so I am not a young person but my children who also all have college degrees voted for Obama. They are far from stupid. One is computer nerd, one works in human relations and the other is an accountant/business manager.

Pat, you have just had another history lesson. I knew from the beginning who erin was, a lonely person with an ego problem and likely to have a cell phone growing out her ear.. I have seen these in the past years telling the world how important and SMART they are. A person can have all the degrees, probably from the computer a month at a time but you would expect tham to have a LITTLE COMMON SENSE, especially over the age of forty. I have seen people with an IQ of over one fifty and still be as dumb as a door knob. I have family members that are Drs. and Lawyers, are smart in their fields but lack COMMON SENSE. These young folks that voted Nov 4th. knew not what they just did and will have to live with it and also their children.
I also just heard that Bill was offered a large Govt. electronics contract if he supported obama next year, go figure. What did he offer Buffet for his support?? Not all ~~“51s*~ stay together. The demorats stole this one.

I spoke with a friend last night with family in Germany. The germans like obama so much that they went door to door collecting money for his campaign. Also, Joe Biden comments, six months happened in less that twenty-four hours, the Russians have already called him out, he may be on shaky ground.

Hate to tell you I work but I am off today to attend school. I have told you I am in law school. I work in mental health as a counselor. I believe I told you that too. So get a life yourself. Prior to getting my BS degree I worked as a nurse for 25 years.
