Ever wonder where Dale Earnhardt Jr
learned to drive?
Just watch this video and you'll
understand!
Dale Earnhardt's famous "Pass
In the Grass" from the 1987 Winston All Star Race.
Almost any driver can win with a
winning car -- but "Dale Earnhardt could take a 10th
place car and win" said Chocloate Myers, the longtime
No. 3 gas man.
Could Dale Earnhardt drive a race car? Did Junior learn
anything from Dale?

In my humble opinion, Dale Earnhardt could have won
races in a pinto. He was a very talented driver. Yes,
Dale Jr. did learn a lot from his Dad. Not only about
driving, but also how not to forget who he was or where
his roots were. His Father was not only a great race car
driver, he was a great man. He had heart, and he never
let fame and fortune take that from him. ~ R.P.
Dale Sr could drive any car even the crap that DEI was
putting out there in the 07 season for Jr to drive.
I think Jr. learned a lot from Sr., I just wish he could
get away with using some of those moves in NASCAR today,
unfortunately I don't think Sr. would like the NASCAR of
today with their rules and infractions, etc. ~ M.W.
Yes I think he learned a lot from His Dad which was the
best of the best. ~ H.B.
Its Like What Dale Sr once said to Junior
"Son, I’ve taught you everything you know, but I Haven’t
taught you everything I Know." The Man who they say
could "See the Air" was a great teacher & had a great
student in dale Jr. Oh that Earnhardt "Side Draft," Wow!
~ “Bobby A" Crestline, Ca.
If things were more like they were back when #3 was
racing, yes, Jr. could do it. He had a good teacher, but
the rules have changed---- We love Jr. Can't wait for 08
and 88! ~ J.P.
Now that's racin'...Hopefully we will be able to see
that exciting racin’ this season, and Dale Jr. will be
able to show us what his Daddy taught him - but in his
own style. Go 88. ~ S.T.
I've been a Dale Sr. fan since the 70's and a Jr. Fan
since his first race. I must admit that I have often
wondered if he's as good as his Dad. I see definite
similarities in driving skills and attitude. Now that he
will have the equipment and support he needs in '08
we'll find out. It's either gonna be history or
heartbreak. Time will tell. ~ Wild Bill
Hell yea wait till 08 he will be all amped up and with
the guard on his side he can not lose. ~ P.M.
Dale Earnhardt could Jr. can't. ~ A.M.
There is no doubt has the ability that his father had.
We will see that in the future. This will be the year
that he gets it done and brings a Nextel cup title home.
He will be a force to be reckoned with. He is a true
champion. He will up hold his name and keep his father
alive. ~ M.C.
I feel Dale Sr was an exceptional driver. He had heart
and soul for racing. Jr did learn a lot from his father.
Not only how to race but also how to be the man that he
has become today. Jr also has the heart and soul for
racing. He enjoys the fame and fortune but Jr also
remembers where he came from and will never forget that.
He's a very nice and down to earth person who was lucky
to have the ability and chance to drive a racecar. A lot
of people say that Jr is only where he is today because
he rode on his father's name sake and coattails, but I
feel Jr has proved that he is a great racer on his own
merits not just because his name is Earnhardt. ~ Kim
Wow that was the good ole days watching the video. I
think Jr is his own man and has his own driving style.
Why would you want Junior to be like Dale Sr? There is
only one Dale Sr and no one will ever take his place. I
love Dale Jr and he will be just fine. Go 88! ~ Helen
