Obama Stands Against NASCAR Fans
President Obama is a sore loser. NASCAR fans did not support his bid for President in 2008 – and are no more likely to support him now in his bid for re-election. So Obama is paying them back by ripping their sport apart.
4 Ways Obama is Ruining NASCAR
Destroying Jobs. By putting millions of people out of work President Obama is assuring that NASCAR fans will no longer be able to afford to attend stock car races and buy souvenirs and apparel of their favorite driver.
Limiting Economic Recovery. Businesses are facing ever-increasing costs and regulations in order to do business in the United States. Therefore they have less money available to spend on racing sponsorships which would help bring even more business.
Increasing Taxes. The more taxes you have to pay the less money you have to spend on enjoying things like NASCAR. Obama wants to redistribute your cash to someone else.
Banning Military Sponsorships. Obama’s party has even gone as far as trying to ban NASCAR sponsorship by the US Armed Services. Minnesota Democrat Betty McCollum has tried to get legislation through congress that would have left Dale Earnhardt Jr and Ryan Newman unsponsored. Obama is standing by to sign it.
What has Obama done for you lately – and how much longer do we have to stand for it?

He has messed with everything else, so why not Nascar? In my opinion..he is nothing but a large infected boil on the rear end of the people of this country. I didn’t vote for him the first time, and I sure as hell won’t vote to re-elect the sucker!

Look to the “White House”. This boy knows that his people don’t have the brains to concentrate long enough and would become more dizzy going around in so many circles. Nascar people will never support this type and will come out in force to prevent a re-election. This is the most ignorant and arrogant thing that have ever invaded the office of the President of the United States of America. He, like his people, have lied his way through life and can never tell the truth. Always looking for a hand out and when he doesn’t get it, will do what can be done to stop others from getting farther in life than he. This to me, is not a good representative of the human race and he shows it on a daily basis with his comments. He needs to go back to Kenya with his people.

Are all white people (myself included) liars because Bush lied about weapons of mass destruction hidden in Iraq, that to this day have not been found. you should just admit you don’t like him because of his skin color and you are a bigot

Been told in life to not believe everything you hear or read. In this case, I DO not believe a word in this article. Want to know why fans is not coming to the tracks and people are no longer watching it on t.v. Track: Hotels and Motels raise the rates triple when a NASCAR event comes in town, pay $10.00 a can of beer, $5.00 for a Coke, so if the hotels are not ripping you off the race tracks are, can’t take a cooler inside of most tracks now, have to pay for parking, oh gasoline prices before Dale Earnhardt passed away and before Bush went into office in 2000 was $1.25 a gallon.
So vote I don’t care if your republican or democrat. Idot listen and let someone with a brain explain to you that Obama is trying to get The USA economy like it was when Bill Clinton was in office. People had jobs, gasoline prices, food prices were at reach.
A gallon of milk before Bush went into office was $1.29 a gallon, today 4.75 a gallon.
We are reaping the benefits of Bush, the USA was in a huge mess before Obama went into office. So get your facts straight before downing someone.
How much money did you make this year more than 200,000.00 a year. Yep thought so all the rich people are republicans.

So true, unfortunatley most people will no0t bother to do any research into the facts. They will just beleive what they read. If the above was focused strictly on NASCAR, the administration would have enacted special taxes on racing, racing fuels, car parts for racecars, etc. The entire Economy is nessed up. I blame Lincoln for this.

How much longer are you guys going to blame President Bush? I’m an avid President Bush fan, but I will admit (unlike you guys) that he did spend too much money. We’re now 3 years into this guy (I won’t even refer to him as President) and PLEASE just tell me one GOOD thing he’s done (and honesty is key here). Oh, I have one. HEALTH CARE………..the one that Pelosi said needed to be passed so they could read what was in it. And please do your research. Look at Food and Gas prices since this one has been in the White House!!!!!!!

Sandra: If you remember, when Bill Clinton was president, it was a total Republican congress. They kept Clinton in line or he would have spent us out the rear end. Obama goes on vacation seems like every week, but us Nascar fans can’t afford to go to a race ever now and then, and he wants to keep it that way. I didn’t vote for him the first time and I sure as hell will work hard to keep him a one term president. If we don’t stop him now, this country will be like a socialist country and we sure enough will never see the light of day again. “Bush spent 1,020 days of his presidency on vacation. To put this into context, John F. Kennedy spent fewer days in office, 1000, than George W. Bush spent on vacation. Bush spent 487 days at Camp David, 490 days at his Crawford ranch, and 43 days in Kennebunkport. George W. Bush spent 69 days in Crawford during his first year in office. In contrast, according to FactCheck.org, Obama spent all, or part of, 26 days of his first year in office on vacation. This was less than all three previous Republican presidents, Ronald Reagan, George H.W. Bush, and George W. Bush, but more than the two previous Democratic presidents, Jimmy Carter and Bill Clinton.”
Please shut up about Obama’s vacation days. You don’t know what you are talking about.
And any consumer/worker out there knows that it takes less time to SPEND money (George W. turning a huge surplus into a HUGE deficit in 8 years-like a teenager on a shopping spree with his parent’s credit card) than it does to MAKE it. Obama has been on the job for less than 3 years and people are trying to blame all this mess on him. I say that the mess W created was so MASSIVE that it’s going to take some time to clean it up.
Where were all of you when Georgie was spending all this money? It didn’t happen overnight. He should have been reigned in long before his 8 years were up, then maybe we wouldn’t be in this mess. No one will ever convince me that this mess isn’t his fault.

NASCAR fans are rednecks and racists. I have never seen or met one in Tennessee (where I live) who knows which end is up. If a Republican Congress kept Clinton from spending…how come the largest increases in the deficit in American history happened under Bush? I know it is pointless to try to explain anything to members of the New Confederate Slave Labor Party (GOP, Teabaggers & Libertarians), but I was wounded in combat in Vietnam. I love my country and am very angry that Teabaggers are doing everything they can to destroy it. I am sure you Don’t want to hear that President Obama is going along with much of the GOP BS because the country is divided and he does not insist on having it all his way. I hope you awaken to reality some day.
[Reply]
I don’t think it Obama’s fault. OK, the economy is not what it used to be, but it NASCAR that need to bring the prices down and to allow people to be able to take their own food and drinks in and parking should be included with the tickets not pay extra for parking (also football, baseball, hockey, etc) do the same and that is why people can’t afford to buy the things they used to enjoy. If NASCAR, NBA,NFL, MLB,NHL, etc would lower their prices, more people would come. OK, jobs are being lost and people need to take care of what they need to take care of before they go to these events, but just bring down the prices to where people can go and have fun. Look at how much these athletes make and it the people(fans) who are paying their living so they should give back too or take a paycut or maybe help pay for some of the events to make it cheaper for people to come. It’s not only sports, but Disney World too. Look how much it cost for one day!! I remember the first time I went to Magic Kingdom and it only cost $19.95/day, now it’s $85.00 a day and the drinks, wow, almost $4 to get a bottle of coke. I think if Bill France or Walt Disney were still alive, they would be really angry about what is happening.

Pegi and the rest of you who can’t spell, let me put this into perspective for you –
When President Clinton got out of office we had a budget SURPLUS (for those of you who don’t know what that means, we were taking in more money than we were paying out and had no deficit). We were projected to continue to have surpluses for the next 20 years……that is until George W. Bush took office in 2000. What do you think his first action was as President? He gave his rich friends and business colleagues a TAX CUT that cost the country 1 trillion dollars over ten years. But, he didn’t stop there! Next, he passed Medicare Plan D which established the donut hole, costing this country BILLIONS of dollars a year that ended up going to none other than…..yup you guessed it! BIG INSURANCE COMPANIES! And just when you think he couldn’t screw up the surplus we had in 2000, he goes and passes No Child Left Behind, the biggest failure of education reform ever, costing us BILLIONS of dollars. Then 9/11 happened and rather than going after the ones we were supposed to go after (afghanistan and pakistan) we went after IRAQ (who had nothing to do with 9/11, no weapons of mass destruction, and no Al-Qaeda factions in the country). Those wars have cost us TRILLIONS of dollars over the past 10 years. So don’t tell me it’s President Obama’s fault, it is most certainly George W. Bush’s fault for spending massive amount of money while we had a SURPLUS. He managed to take that surplus and run deficits every year of his presidency.

I have been a Nascar fan from beginning……have been in racing all my life from the clay dirt tracks til now and that nut in office won’t slow me up any. Do like me and all my friends are doing……….whoever has the largest vehicle load it up and spit the gas expense and get tickets ….and at Talladega we still carry our coolers so whoever pays $ 5.00 got a beer is by choice. We carry our own snacks etc and have as much fun as ever…. To hell with obama and his game plan. Some of us was smart enough to see it coming and didn’t vote for him. The ones that did was shouting yeah finally a black man in office. Wonder if they are still excited……Love Nascar and will keep on going……good Lord willing. How can you blame all of this on one guy? It just shows how little you really know. You said “NASCAR fans did not support his bid for President in 2008″, but that’s not true. I am a NASCAR fan and I voted for him, proudly. If you want to be taken seriously as a news website, you should stick to real NASCAR news, and not use the site for your own political views. But we have freedom of speech, so you are free to say what you want, and I am free to not visit your site and to unsubscribe from your newsletter, which I did. Also, we, the taxpayers, are paying for the army sponsorships, and with the national debt the way it is, if it’s found that the sponsorships do not bring in enough recruits to make it worthwhile, then I think they should end. A business is not going to keep pouring money into a sponsorship when it doesn’t produce results. That’s just common sense.
And what has Obama done for me lately?
He’s lowered my taxes. You must be in a pretty high tax bracket if your taxes were increased. He also signed the credit card reform bill which stopped my credit card APRs from being jacked up for no reason. I also believed he helped to prevent another great depression. We are still in a recession, but it’s nothing compared to what it could have been if the auto companies and banks hadn’t been bailed out. Most of them have already paid back their loans.

Bush inherited a surplus from Clinton and then bragged about the surplus going away in the first year of his term: http://www.nytimes.com/2001/08/24/politics/24CND-BUSH.html Get your facts straight. On the issue of Nascar, that’s life. Tickets to Texas Motor Speedway on their site cost $125 each. Maybe that’s the reason they can’t go to more races. This has nothing to do with Obama; Nascar has been in trouble for a few years now and I have noticed them try their hardest to change everything to make it exciting but it’s not. It’s not exciting in any way possible for most people. Listen, having a playoff where non-playoff contenders are still out there in the middle of the race is stupid. Why would people spend $65 to $100 to see Kyle Busch, Jimmie Johnson or some other moral of that ilk win the race.

There are plenty of you around and you are hurting our nation. Wise up or grow up. Most Americans are moderates. We are all conservative in some areas and liberal in others. When the fringe on both sides are the pushrods of politics, it simply destroys common sense. The fringe may be the cause of the mplosion that destroys what it took years of hard work by honest people to build.

Hmmm I have read the article and the comments. I feel very well informed now. As for the sponsorship of Dale Jr and/or Ryan Newman, the NationaI Guard and Army are not going to give up thier poster men just to please some Senator from Whooville. They know that in a time of War the chance of getting young men and women to enlist is not very likely. I mean who wants to enlist and be sent off to fight in a war. The are using Both Jr and Ryan to entice these young people to “BE ALL THEY CAN BE” and “BE ARMY STRONG” and to increase thier numbers of young enlisted personnel. Then they can get rid of the older more experienced people. They become obsolete. Therefore they in thier minds are saving the country money. Next, I would like to answer the question “What has Obama done for ME lately?” That is easy, he has given me a terrible pain in my backside! Please note, the lack of profanity here.
A pain that I am afraid will not end until he is out of office. Thank you for the article I enjoyed the reading.

Are you thrilled with his dumb health care bill too?

what a crock. First off, He hasn’t raised taxes at all, so that point is a lie. And even if he does raise taxes it’s on the rich. So if in fact you would be having your taxes raised, you already are in the rich category and getting your taxes raised isn’t gonna stop you from attending and buying at nascar events.
and as for banning sponsorships, you can’t have it both ways. You want him to cut everything and anything under the sun, with the exception of what you want. If he is supposed to cut spending, how is spending millions on sponsorship gonna help the economy? Typical, cut everything except for the things I enjoy you spending, screw everything else everyone else wants and needs that is getting cut, that don’t affect me.

To all you people who keep complaining about Nascar ripping you off pricewise…..have you been to a movie theater lately? Did you ask them to cut the price for you?
Have you eaten out lately? Less food for more money…did you ask them to give you a break? What about the gas you put in your car (for everything except a Nascar trip)
did the convenience store cut you a break…$4 a gallon in some places. You have to face the fact that this is not the
“old days” and things will never go back to the way they were pricewise or any other way. Sure, some motels, tracks, jack up the prices, Jr. addressed this a few years ago and asked people to think about what they were doing, but I can give you several examples of prices being jacked up that has nothing to do with Nascar. The TX race I attended this year, the tickets were half the price I paid a few years ago and I had better seats. So, maybe it depends on where you go and just what you expect. Ever try buying a Dallas Cowboy football ticket? Check around some of these other sports and find out what it costs you to go watch them and then complain. As for Obama, no I did not vote for him nor will I again but I also will not argue politics. Everyone has their own opinion and nothing will change their minds even if the evil is staring them in the face. The only “change” I want is to have someone in there that knows what they are doing. Since we have the “unsubscribers” gone, they won’t be seeing this so there will be no argument. Go Jr.!!!!!

Oh yeah, instead of giving money to the government, just give it all to NASCAR. It’s seems to me republicans are just pissy there isn’t a “genius” (ironically speaking) in office again. We can’t “do better” because EVERY president has had flaws. I agree with what someone already said. Bush made a HUGE mess, dipped out, and left Obama to clean it up. Now everyone wants to blame him instead of remembering that BUSH destroyed this country more than anyone. Get your head out of your arses and stop grasping at straws with this “Obama hates NASCAR” crap just to MAKE UP another reason why Obama is “as bad guy”. Who effing cares. Post news about NASCAR and get over it. If you can’t afford to go to a race, then tell NASCAR to lower the prices if they “care so much about the fans”. Smh.

you people are nuts. . Period. We have real problems in this country and you people just want to blame Obama for everything. “Obama did this, Obama did that, Obama took our jobs, Obama caused the economy to crash, Obama is the devil!” Rednecks. here’s an idea, why don’t you people go back to watching your shitty races on TV and keep your nose out of politics, you have no business pushing this kind of propaganda to these idiots. You and your way of thinking are the problem… not Obama.

The problem with both parties,is,NASCAR is one of the very few large corperations that doesnt donate (read buy) to either party’s campaign.I am proud that the don’t lobby with millions each election, for favors. It is the true American way.The only thing any american can do to get us out of this mess,is to vote for Dr.Ron Paul.
