NASCAR In 30 Seconds
On SPEED stars
NASCAR Drivers Dale Earnhardt, Dale Jr., Richard Petty, Bobby Allison,
Tony Stewart and more drivers turned TV pitchmen.
From the very beginning of NASCAR
sponsors have been a major part of the sport. From the
very first televised race businesses have clamored to
have their products tied in with NASCATR on TV
commercials.
NASCAR in 30 Seconds will spotlight NASCAR’s best TV commercials from
the early TV days to today. The 1 hour show is hosted by
Rutledge Wood on SPEED.
“NASCAR fans should really get a kick out of this show,”
said SPEED’s
Steve Craddock. “Fans get to see Kenny Wallace when he
was just getting into NASCAR and a much younger Darrell
Waltrip. They’ll also see legends like Richard Petty,
Bobby Allison, and the late Dale Earnhardt make their
pitches during a different time in history. Not to
mention all the great ‘behind the scenes’ footage you
will see during the show. NASCAR in 30 Seconds will
appeal to fans of every generation.”
“This is such a cool show,” said Wood, host of SPEED
Road Tour Challenge. “To see some of these guys when
they were young is so cool. But people are really going
to like the backstage stuff from Tony’s new Toyota
commercial as well.”
Besides classic commercials, the show will focus on
behind-the-scenes action during the production of the
vintage commercials, including bloopers and out-takes.
The show will also preview several upcoming commercials
set to air during the 50th running of the
Daytona 500.
Dale Earnhardt Jr. appears in one commercial with his
father, then later describes what it is really like
filming a NASCAR TV commercial.
Kenny Wallace revisits a commercial he starred in 25
years ago in one of the shows funniest scenes.
Watch the show and you’ll get an up-close look at the
making of TV spots for companies like Sprint, Sunoco,
Gillette, Home Depot and Toyota – the shows presenting
sponsor.
The show closes with a look at Tony Stewart’s new spot
for Toyota.
If you miss the premiere on Feb. 7 don’t worry – SPEED
plans to re-broadcast the show several times leading up
to the Daytona 500.
