NASCAR State License Plates

The State of Mississippi has some of the best NASCAR license plates I have seen. These are official state license plates for your car.

A company called Race Plate Marketing is behind the plates. It seems they have worked out a deal with NASCAR to market the specialty auto tags.

Mississippi charges residents $36.00 for the tag — of which $8.28 goes to Race Plate Marketing, and $0.72 goes to NASCAR.

Not a bad deal for an official license plate showing your favorite driver. Here’s a photo of the Dale Jr tag, but you can also get Jeff Gordon, Tony Stewart, Matt Kenseth and 22 other drivers — plus a NASCAR themed plate

    10. I love it, but I doubt the state of Illinois will ever go for it and even if they did, they would charge big bucks for it.

    16. What about Wisconsin??? I would LOVE to have a set, but like the person from Illinois said, they will be a fortune, but I would pay the extra just to have a set!

    18. I have numerous sample license plates of many Nascar drivers in my collection.

    The following states do issue Nascar License Plates:

    Alabama
    Florida ( only Nascar tag-no drivers )
    New York
    North Carolina
    South Carolina ( 5 drivers + generic Nascar tag )
    Mississippi
    Oklahoma
    Pennsylvania ( started in 2004 with like 3 dozen or so drivers, but now down to about 11 drivers )
    West Virginia ( has about 14 drivers )
    Georgia

    I believe Illinois & Tennessee want to issue a Nascar tag, but not sure if they will have all the drivers or just a generic Nascar tag
