NASCAR shuts down Kyle Busch & Jeff Burton

by

Why is it that NASCAR can’t allow two drivers to have a discussion after a race?

Jeff Burton wanted to have a word with Kyle Busch on pit road following the Coca Cola 600. A NASCAR Officiial and Matt Clark, the team’s pit crew coach, were bound and determined to stand between Burton and Busch cutting off communication.

Jeff Burton was prevented from fully explaining his point of view to Kyle Busch, and Kyle was denied his right to respond.

Come on NASCAR. You said yourself “Have at it boys!” Let the boys have their say.

What do you think?

  2. Didn’t look to me like Kyle wanted to do anything except to get as far away from Jeff as possible. Backing away and grinning like a fool. Real tough.

Kyle did nothing wrong. any more burton and a few drivers cry .about others that really race like the old drivers use to instead of just riding around the track, maybe if jr drove a little like his dad he might win something to. i’m a jr fan but its getting tiresome watching him do nothings, hes would be a let down if his dad saw the way he races today . stop blaming it on the car .drive it. like Kyle does .

It”not how he drives,it is his arrogant attitude about how he drives that fans hate.If anyone does it to him,it is wrong. But if he does it,all is cool. Look at last week.Went to Hamlin’s hauler for virtually the same thing he did to Burton. He IS a talented driver. He just doesn’t care about anyone but himself. No room for that kinda crap with 42 other drivers on the track every week.

  4. One of these day that crybaby Kyle Bush is going to get what is coming to him a good old fashioned butt kicking, only wish I could see it in person. The only reason NASCAR stepped in, was they are not to far from Kyle because they know what is going to happen. Just once let someone put him in his place.

AMEN #2 to Carol: You don’t see Jeff Burto tat upset, and when you do Kyle should get out of his way, all Kyle could do was grin like a possum eating pumpkin seed.

  6. KYLE BUSH NEEDS TO SIT OUT A COUPLE OF RACES. HE TURNS DELIVERATELY INTO THE OTHER DRIVERS. JEFF BURTON HAS ALWAYS IN MY BOOK BEEN A FAIR DRIVER AND WOULDN’T DELIBERATELY TURN INTO ANOTHER DRIVER. WALDRIP AND MCDONALD OR WHOEVER THE OTHER ONE WAS THAT MADE THAT COMMENT AS TO WHO WAS TO BLAME SHOULD KEEP THEIR MOTHS SHUT. EVERYONE KNOWS THE TRUTH THAT KYLE CAN ONLY WIN WHEN HE KNOCKS DELIBERATLY INTO OTHERS.
I HOPE JIMMIE JOHNSON DOES WIN, I AM A FAN AND I WILL ALWAYS BE A JR FAN, WHETHER HE WINS OR NOT, THE KID HAS BEEN THRU A LOT. GRAMMY 67

  8. They should have let them have at it, but NASCAR wants to keep things boring anyway. They just don’t understand why there are empty seats and low tv ratings, it is not the economy when both figures are down. Course the fans aren’t important to many people these days anyway. After all we are only consumers! Wake up people, the fans put you in position to become millionares, guess we can take it away from you!

fan but I didn’t see him do any thing wrong. Jeff Burton came down on Kyle.
After Jeff watches the replay he will owe Kyle an apology.

I think most of us are refering to Kyle’s lack of courage when it comes to backing up his mouth. Like the old saying goes “don’t let your mouth write checks you can’t cash”. He talks a tough game, that’s all.

I think something should be done with Kyle Busch, when others run their mouths or purposely put someone out on contention they get punished, Kyle hits guys in the pits and cars on the track and laughs at it come on Nascar do your job, yes they said do whatever but are you going to wait til the crybaby kills someone

I am so sick and tired hearing about Vile Kyle and his hot headendness. I think NASCAR should put both of them in boxing gloves, whether it be Burton, Hamlin, his brother Kurt and let someone knock the block off his shoulder and bring him down a peg. Better still, put crybaby under suspension for a month and don’t allow him anywhere near a track until he can respect his fellow drivers. If he going to act like a baby, let’s treat him like one.
How immature is he going to get and how long is NASCAR going to put up with him? If I have my numbers right …Dale Jr. brings in the most revenue.
If you check out the video…why is he in the middle making it three wide ? He is creating the problem right there. Ohhhh….I forgot his attitude is everyone out of the way here comes the driver with the biggest ego in the sport.

    superpoof Reply:

Kyle said in his interview, that he was making some “bold moves” to get to the front.BIG difference in bold and stupid.3 wide at Charlotte is a disaster on any lap, much less the last few of a 600 mile race.Talent doesn’t equate to arrogance.”I am Kyle “bold move” Busch won’t work with people like Burton!

  24. bush thinks he can do anything and drive like no one else matters if things dont go his way he runs and crys he is constantly pushing people out of the way and wedging himself in the middle of cars even if there isnt room and saying hey its not my fault like others said he needs a good ass kicking i remember once at a local track growing up there was a driver like that on the last race of the year every driver on that track cornered a driver and showed him a thing or two in a all out brawl maybe that needs to be done here to bush and a couple of other drivers

    [Reply]

Just maybe Crying Kyle needs to be sent back to Arca. I think people would be a lot kinder and more patient with him if he were not such a track bully, and if he would take responsibility when he does something he shouldn’t have or something just plain mean or stupid. Own it man you did it. He’s like the play ground bully. Lets not sell him short though, Crying Kyle is a heck of a good driver. But the if you can’t out drive them wreck them attitude might just wind up getting him in over his head. Not a Bush fan never have been never will be.

  26. Kyle is race track bully and I am surprise Joe Gibbs is letting Kyle get away with it. Kyle is out for himself. Jeff is a good driver and courteous.

    mamadew88 Reply:

I think Joe Gibbs doesn’t much care about Kyle’s ignorance and aggressiveness as he brought that with him from his football days and that’s why he tolerates Kyle. But as a church going man he needs to set his driver straight. Violence begets violence even if it on the racetrack……This does not set a good example for our children who are there with their parents.

  28. Darrell Waltrip, ever the company man, went out of his way to compare race attendence with football, baseball, etc. It was a stumbling, fumbling attempt to rationalize the situation with suspect numbers,
Folks, over the last 4 years people like me (’64, fan since 1968) have quit going and stopped watching. Fireball Roberts is spinning in his grave!! We come to races to watch Kyle and others race!! NASCAR has neutered the sport and until this season had the excitement of watching monks change underwear. And it ain’t over yet. It may be too late to save a sport we all love.
    Keep us awake, Kyle!

and Kyle keeping Gibbs Racing in the news, he’s happy. BUT, if NASCAR keep losing fans and money, they ‘ll know who to blame.
