Logano Wins His First One

Joey Logano had luck on his side when he cycled into the lead on the final round of pit stops just before the rains fell on the Lenox Industrial Tools 301 at Loudon, New Hampshire.

Becomes Youngest Winner in NASCAR History

Logano was declared the winner shortly thereafter as the rain continued to fall.

Logano was nowhere near the fastest car, but as they say, the fastest car doesn’t always win. The race looked like it would come down to a shootout between Jeff Gordon and Kurt Busch had the rain held off.

Busch and Truex Tangle

Kyle Busch didn’t make any friends out of Martin Truex Jr or Brian Vickers today. Both drivers blamed Busch for the big wreck on a double-file restart on lap 175. Truex was so angry that he nearly threw his helmet at Busch, but pulled the throw at the last moment.

“Kyle just lost his head like he usually does when something bad happens,” said Truex.

Kyle Points Finger at Junior

But Kyle pointed to the 88 car ahead of Truex – saying Dale Jr spun his tires to cause the wreck.

Dale Earnhardt Jr had one of his best runs, climbing as high as third in the race. I look for Junior to continue to improve and be back in Victory Lane soon. Junior runs well on the superspeedways, and NASCAR is headed to Daytona next.

What did you think of today’s race?

  2. I wish the race had not been rained out. The cars that had been in the top 10 all day would have had the proper finish. But that’s just racing. I remember a race when Kyle purposely did a slow restart hoping the drivers behind him would wreck so he would get a green/white finish. Junior may have spun his tires but it was not on purpose. There have been plenty of drivers who couldn’t get a good restart one time or another. Truex checked up but Kyle got impatient and tried to go 3 wide and it didn’t work.

  12. As usual, Kyle always has to blame somebody else. He can never take the blame when it was clearly his fault. Just because Dale Jr. spun his tires, he didn’t need to try to fit into a lane that clearly was not there. Somebody needs to put a baby pacifier in his mouth to shut him up. Dale Jr. continues to race well and VERY soon he will be in victory lane again. GOOOOOOOOOOOOO JR !!!!!!!!!

  14. Poor Kyle. The way I heard it on TV they said Jr. did not spun his tries on purpose it’s part of raceing. And even after the race Kyle’s own brother said he was having trouble with restarts and he said he should go back to restart’s 101. Kyle needs to grown up. GO JR.

He is a Jr wanna be and never will be , so just hang it up and leave Jr. alone. Jr don’t give a rats patoot what you say about him, he is the best to all of us and Kyle wants to be like him. I feel sorry for Kurt having him in the same family. I just wish the writers would quit trying to give Kyle the benefit of the doubt and lay the blame at his feet where it belongs. The real problem lies in the fact Kyle is going to hurt someone bad and then what are they going to do with him. H e is a big cry baby and I am really afraid he is going to hurt or kill someone if he don’t get things under control. Will Nascar then step up to the plate and do something?? Never~ Sad Sad.

Jr’s as well as many others finishes were not examples of how they ran all day but thats racing. Like last weekend Jr was in a position to get a good finish things just didn’t end that way. Improving none the less.. As for Kyles remarks? Of course he will blame jr. Get over it baby busch! too bad shrub one of your records has already been broken, hope no one got in your way on the way to the hauler to cry. Maybe that store bought girlfriend will pamper you…

  48. I liked the race but wished it wasn’t called for rain. They didn’t seem to wait very long. Maybe Nascar figured it would be good for the sport if Joey won. It doesn’t seem fair to the drivers who ran up front all day. I don’t like the way drivers get their laps back just by staying out and hoping for a caution. Now instead of one driver getting his lap back when a caution comes out, it could be fifteen drivers getting their lap back. It just doesn’t seem fair as this isn’t the first time that the driver’s at the front had come back from a lap down by just not pitting on a caution.

As for Kyle Busch as usual the announcers stuck up for him but he clearly ran into Martin Truex. Of course he never does anything wrong and has to blame someone. Maybe Jr. did spin his tires but not on purpose. He was probably trying to get a fast start to try and pass the leaders. It’s still up to those behind him to check up which Martin did and Kyle didn’t. You still have to watch out for the car in front of you. I’m glas Martin didn’t throw his helmet as that wouldn’t have done any good.

I was glad to see Jr running in the top ten. It’s been too long. Hope he’ll do well at Daytona.

  50. I think Junior laid back and then spun his tires because Kurt was having horrible restarts. Kyle just had to go and put his car somewhere he should not have. He admitted it which was surprising. I thought….gee maybe Kyle is growing up some? Let’s all hope so.

Jr don’r care what Kyle thinks, or says, & Nobody else does either. It only shows he has no life, & he proves it every time he opens his mouths. You never hear abt Kyle doing good things outside of racing like you do the other drivers. He lives in a hole, & thinks the world owes him something. He ha. He will never be a Jr, Smoke, or any other well respected driver. He thinks saying bad things abt Jr, etc makes him a better person. 70. Has anyone seen the movie “HANCOCK”? If you have you’ll know what I’m talking about. Hancock must have got Kyle and crammed Kyles wimpy head his own butt. Kyle suffers from “Analoctalitis”. Simply put, he has his head up his butt so far that he has a s&%@# outlook on everything. The problem with this disorder is 99.9% of the sufferers are unaware of their condition. When diagnosed the same percentage of sufferers are in denial. This is a treatable condition. The easiest cure is for a few strong friends to physically pull the cranium from the anal cavity, and have monitored counseling. This maybe the easiest way but symptoms manifest even though the procedure was a success. I proscribe a swift kick in the a$$ and a industrial grade laxative, cause we all know how full of it he is.

When Kurt first started driving he was a hot head, but being fired woke him up and look at him today a real gentleman. Kyle needs to follow in his brother’s footsteps and grow up. If he were my child I would be ashammed to call him my son. Guess he has nothing in life that is why he constantly picks on Jr. Just jealousy plain and simple. But then again he thrives on publicity good or bad. Maybe just maybe if every one never said another word about the punk that might do so good. Jr. just ignores him as he knows what he is and will not lower himself to even remark on his constant digs. He is such a cry baby but he did cause that wreck yesterday and took out a lot of good drivers because if he is not up front he will wreck anyone to get there. Shame on Nascar for not doing something yesterday and make that punk accountable.

I’m happy for Joey and he is going to be great driver. As far “SHRUB”, he couldn’t stand it that his teammate won but after he caused a very unnecessary wreck by being so aggressive and of course he had to blame someone as he usually does. Had it gone the distance, I think my man “SMOKE” had the car to beat. Congrats Joey and “GO 14″. You are the man.

He did man-up for any wrong he might have caused. As for Vile Kyle, he will never have a kind word for his fellow drivers because he truly believes he is “MISTER NASCAR”, and you can blame that on the media as they know that he his is a three ring circus all by himself and they ride his coat tails every race. Maybe someone will get the real story as to why he never grew up and still acts like a little toddler and never takes the blame for any of his actions.
