Kyle Busch Wrecked by His Own Move
Tony Stewart was a little subdued and almost apologetic in Victory Lane after dominating Saturday night’s Coke Zero 400 at Daytona.
Stewart seemed to think he shouldered some responsibility for putting Kyle Busch in the wall just yards from the finish line on the final lap.![]()
“I guess I just don’t feel as much gratification from winning this race as I probably should,†said Tony Stewart. “I don’t want any part of earning a race because the guy that was leading the race got wrecked.â€
Kyle Put Tony in Bad Position
“I don’t know that we did anything wrong. I’ve seen replays of it, and he’s protecting his position, which he’s got to do.  I mean, that’s what he has to do as a driver. He can’t just sit there and let us make a move like that and not try to defend it. But it puts him, it puts us, it put Kasey Kahne behind him in a bad position where it drove Kyle’s car all the way up to Kasey’s windshield.
“I guess tomorrow I might be happier about it,†said Stewart.
Tony Stewart did nothing wrong.
Stewart Miscue Lets Kyle Pass
Busch was able to drive past Stewart coming to the white flag thanks to a miscalculation on the part of Tony Stewart. “We slowed down just trying not to get too big a gap,†said Stewart, “and I timed it wrong and that gave him a chance to get around us. It was just a mistake on my part. He had been setting that move up for a couple laps, and I tried not to give him too much of a gap to get a run like that.  I slowed myself down too much to protect my spot. It was a mistake on my part that gave him enough of a shot to get a big run on the outside like that.â€
Stewart was faster than Busch and he was trying to pass. When Stewart moved his No.14 Chevy to the bottom of the racetrack Kyle Busch cut him off. It didn’t matter. Stewart had a head of steam and went to the high side and started to move around Kyle Busch’s Toyota. By the time Kyle figured out what was happening Stewart already had his bumper along-side. When Kyle tried to block the second time Stewart held his line and Busch spun across Stewart’s bumper.
“We went for it right there at the end,†said crew Kyle Busch’s chief Steve Addington. “What are you going to say? Everybody on this race team worked their tails off and we had a good racecar. I can’t say anything. I’m not pointing any fingers at Tony. He was trying to win the race, Kyle was trying to block him for the win and we got turned around.â€
That block ruined some good race cars on the final lap – including Kasey Kahne and Joey Logano who had nowhere to go when Busch hit the wall. Both of them hit Kyle’s No. 18 Toyota – Kasey Kahne lifted Busch’s wheels off the ground and literally drove underneath him.
The finish line was so close that if Kyle Busch had held his line instead of blocking Stewart the two would have crossed the line side by side. Busch could have still won. At worst he would have been second.
Instead Busch finished 14th as Stewart took the checkered flag.
Stewart Lucky He Didn’t Wreck
“I was kind of surprised at where we came out of that ordeal, not necessarily with the lead but the direction we were pointed,†said Stewart.†It really easily could have taken us out of a chance to win the race, too.â€
“It happened so quick and he went across the nose so fast, and the next thing we know we’re pointed at the line.â€
The move looked similar to the block Carl Edwards tried to put on Brad Keselowski at Talladega. The results were about the same, too.
NASCAR Officials Corner Busch
Following the race Busch blew off reporters who were waiting to talk to him – and he tried to blow off NASCAR officials who wanted him to see a doctor in the infield care center. The officials were having none of that. Busch had to be forcibly turned around and put in a waiting truck to go be checked out.
Kyle Busch’s best shot at Victory would have been not to block Tony Stewart. I do not see where Tony Stewart did anything wrong. Do you?

HEY “SHRUB’ YOU ARE A FOOL AND YOU DRIVE LIKE A FOOL.
SO DON’T TRY TO BLAME TONY FOR YOUR FOOLISH MOVES YOU LOOOOOOSER!!
[Reply]
If Kyle was in Tony’s shoes, he would say “it’s just racing” so guess it’s just racing and let it go at that.
[Reply]
These younger drivers like Busch and Carl Edwards think they can block on the super speedways and drivers will yield for them.
They will learn someday. The master of the super speedway showed Busch last night!!!!
[Reply]
I DON’T BELIEVE TONY DID ANYTHING WRONG. THERE WERE NOT HAVE BEEN ALL THOSE WRECKS IF KYLE HAD THOUGHT THINGS OUT BETTER.
[Reply]
Too bad Kyle…I’m sure he’ll find someone to blame. Maybe Jr put a spell on him!
[Reply]
Kyle, once a nit wit, always a nit wit. Tony did a great job and really showed alot of class.
[Reply]
I agree James. I like Carl but he found out why you don’t block and he said as much in his post race interview. Smoke is the master and Kryle did his usual slidding up all over the place blocking. He was warned to stop that by his own teammate at Dega (Denny) that is why Denny also said in his post race interview that he thought about going with the 14 but he played teammate. I got the impression Denny doesn’t trust Kryle in these situations. He shouldn’t. He about got himself killed three times with his one stupid move and put Kasey in a very serious position.
[Reply]
HE IS NOT BLAMING ANYONE!! HE HASNT SAID ANYTHING MORON!!!
[Reply]
bad luck for jr, better luck next time.
[Reply]
I Just Wonder How Gibbs Feel After Knowing He Has A Fool Idiot For A Driver ?
[Reply]
Kyle just got what was coming to him. He is always bumping people out the way in a corner so they will get loose so he can take the lead and win the race. This time it caught up with him for all the times he got away with it last night. I think Tony didn’t do anything wrong and as usual Kyle was trying to run back to his hauler and pout like he usually does. Poor little whiny baby.
[Reply]
TeeHee guess whose got wrecked this time SHRUB, just a little hint,YOU!!!!! Go for Tony for holding his line. I don’t see anything Tony did wrong, what do they say, HOLD YOU LINE, HE DID AND GOOD FOR HIM. if you remember he did Basically the thing to Jr. at Richmond.I’m glad the Offical did their job and forced him into the truck to go to the Infield Care Center, just to show him who the bosses were. Someday Gibbs will get tired of the way Busch does and maybe put him in time out, like they do in Kindergarden. TEEHEE LOVE IT
[Reply]
I am just glad to see kyle wind-up where he belongs in the wall and a car up his butt.
[Reply]
SURE MUST SUCK TO BE A “SHRUB” FAN TODAY HA HA HA
[Reply]
I never thought I’d be singing the praises of Tony Stewart but found myself begging for him to get him out of the way.”Come On Tony wreck Um” He needed to be cut down to size and the once “Bad Boy” Tony just showed him the ropes.
“what goes around, comes around and “the twig” just paid his dues. Whooooo Hoooo!
[Reply]
Whats all the hype? Why all the replays? It was pretty evident on the live original happening what happened; Kyle Busch tried to block Tony and cut in front of him and Tony made minor contact through no fault of his own; Kyle Busch wrecked himself. Unfortunately he also wrecked a couple other good drivers/cars. Best thing to do is like he always does, blame someone, himself. Good race Tony.
[Reply]
NASCAR TICKET $100
NASCAR WEEKEND $300
“SHRUB” IN THE WALL PRICELESS !!!!
IT DOSENT GET MUCH BETTER THAN THAT!!
[Reply]
You block a car doing 190 miles an hour, dumb one you are going to pay the consquebces….you did didn’t you ole stupid one….Busch!
[Reply]
Think maybe Kyle will ever learn. What goes around comes around. That is for all the times he did it to other drivers. Best race I have seen in a long time. GO Smoke win some more.
[Reply]
I think Kyle did a good job driving at daytona he stayed up front all night where he only made one mistake he tried to block Smoke and he got smoked… Too bad he didn’t get his bell rung a little better…the dumb ass..
[Reply]
YEAH!! You Go Joe..
[Reply]
good for Tony Kyle deserves everything he gets I bet he cried like a girl after he crashed looks good on him. I bet everyone loved the ending.
[Reply]
too bad for Jr. you’ll win soon buddy, you are the best.
[Reply]
He is so fixated on proving they made a mistake letting him go and hiring Little E He doesn’t use good old common sense if he thinks he can get away with some thing he’s going to go for it! And i’m afraid it will eventually kill him! We don’t need that, Especially as it may kill others also. Nuff said!
[Reply]
Kinda reminds me of Rusty Wallace the way shrub whines…
[Reply]
First of all, I’m glad no-one was hurt. Kyle, wrecked himself, that’s plain and simple. He’ll learn someday that people are not gonna yield to him simply because he’s “MR BUSCH”, I personally was very glad to see what happened to him, I jumped up, yelled and clapped my hands. JUNIOR: Lance and the guys had finally gotten the car to handle and he was coming to the front, too bad some of the morons on the track thinks they are better than they are, it’s those rookies and so called drivers that causes the wrecks like Jr. got into. I was very proud of Jr. the last two weeks, I think Lance and the guys are turning the corner and if the idiots will stay out of Jr. way, he will win some races soon. Maybe the chase is too far gone but we can look to him winning some races this year and then there is next year, maybe a Championship, we hope so. Love ya, Junebug!!!!!
[Reply]
I knew it would happen sooner or later. If it had not been Tony, it would have been one of the other drivers who Kyle has done the same thing to. He simply has no respect for what might happen in that type situation and a life he could be responsible for. Thank the good Lord no one was seriously injured. Maybe this epsisode will help him to mature a little. Tony, do not feel guilty, please!!
[Reply]
I don’t think Tony did anything wrong. Kyle shouldn’t have persisted in blocking him. I am amazed though at Tony’s change of attitude since he announced he was leaving Gibb’s. At one time he wouldn’t have cared if he took out another driver to win the race.
I felt bad for Jr. Just when he gets his car driving good he gets wrecked. Twice in a weekend is really bad luck. Neither wreck his fault.
[Reply]
The shrub has a lot to learn. He wants to be the most popular driver?!!! He’ll never make it! He’s totally arrogant and immature. At least he can’t blame Dale, Jr. this time. I loved the end of race. I did feel bad for all the other drivers who wrecked. I don’t think the shrub is making many friends these days. He has tried to put Jr. into the wall and caused so many problems for many, many other drivers.
He made a stupid move and could have killed himself or someone else. What he did was not something a talented driver would have done. I still say that he has no respect for other drivers, car owners or the fans. His sponsors must be totally embarrassed. If they are not, they should be.
Tony did absolutely nothing wrong – he’s a classy Professional. I’m happy he won the race.
[Reply]
Kyle will always be taking stupid chances when he’s in front – of anyone. They all want a piece of him. He has cost many garages tremendous amounts of money with his lack of style and finesse…no one will give him the benefit of the doubt. If he’s causing an issue…to the wall with him, and no regrets! I appreciated Smoke’s words, they were considerate and thoughtful..now someone give Kyle a little bit of that kind that character. Gibbs has tamed some of the best, both on the football field and in Nascar, but his hands are full with this kid. I’m surprised Joe accepts his attitude, I WOULDN’T…no matter what he brings to the organization. Tony was winning races when Kyle was 5, with both his foot and his brain….what would make Kyle think he could outsmart Tony?
[Reply]
Tony!!! He hasn’t said anything because he knows that it was his fault. I feel bad for Kadey and Joey and all the others caught up in it. In my opinion they should have scored him a lot worse than 14th!
[Reply]
Kyle would’t talk to reporters after the race Sat. night because he knew he wasn’t going to get any sympathy from them for the dumb ass move he made. It was no one’s fault but his own. Guess he knew he didn’t have the car to beat Tony so in order to win he tried to wreck him. Nothing new!! He complained last week about Dale spinning his tires on a restart, but guess he doesn’t remember saying a few weeks ago that he “thought about spinning his tires to cause a big wreck behind him so that he could win. The “boy” has a learning disability —- just can’t keep his mouth shut and his nose out of everyone else’s business!
[Reply]
I AGREE WITH YOU 100 %
[Reply]
Tony Stewart has no reason to feel guilty..He couldn’t have even seen what Kyle was doing…Kyle made a bad move and it cost him….The worst part of the deal was Kyle’s baby attitude……He is such a sore loser and he has the nerve to talk about Jr…..Hit dogs bark first……Kyle…is a good driver but a poor sport…….Go Tony…..stay the man you are!!!
[Reply]
Kyle thinks he is the best, He will never be the best, Its about time that some one put him in his place, Joe gibbs had better Talk to the spoiled brat befor Kyle Kills some one and himself,
This is one time he can blame Dale Jr for what took place, The only reason he blames Dale Jr all the time is because Rick hendrick let him go And Hired Jr, That is the grudge he holds, he had better wake up and smell just what he is dishing out, it dont smell so good when it happen to him. now he will know what it feels like, he is not the king of the track.
[Reply]
Kyle always blames everyone else, mostly Jr., well he has nobody to blame but himself. Kyle thinks he is the best, but he really does act just like a child. I sure hope if he gets mad, he won’t beat on his wife, but then I can’t imagine anyone wanting to be with a loser. Tony, you did nothing wrong.
[Reply]
I was so disappointed when Dale Jr. got wrecked. I was so gloriously elated when Kyle Busch got what he deserved on the last lap. KB is such an arrogant little twerp. The best part of any race is that beady-eyed little ——- getting wrecked! Congratulations on the win, Smoke.
[Reply]
Tony, its obvious that you have the same whiny additude as busch
[Reply]
I could not agree more, Marie!!!
[Reply]
I totally agree with Marie. YEAH TONY, KEEP IT UP.
[Reply]
Did My old heart good to see bush hit the wall
Tony did nothing wrong, Kyle got a sample of what he has been dishing out, How does it feelShrub ? sorry about the other drivers in that wreck, Jr. certainly has his share of problems most he is not responsible for
Better luck next week Jr. your my Man!!
[Reply]
I think Smoke should corner kyle in the garage and slap the —- out of him. How long is it going to take before kyle kills himself or some other drivers because of his stupidity. If it happens how would Gibbs would feel if he had to go tell another drivers wife and kids I’m sorry for what Kyle has done. He killed your daddy and I can’t bring him back.
Isn’t this what Kyle Bush wants?? More publicity for him not doing an interview, being forced to go the infield hospital. Didn’t this get him more camera time?
I beleive if Dale Sr. was racing now, it would take Kyle about two times messing with him (Dale, Sr. )before Dale Sr. would teach him a lesson that would last him (Kyle Bush) a life time of racing
[Reply]
Kyle Busch is a complete jerk. Could not have happened to a better person. I don’t care if he wrecks in all remaining races.
[Reply]
Good point, Bill. He probably didn’t do any interviews because he may have had to make a lot of apologies. Heaven forbid!! Well, if he wants camera time all he needs to do is kill someone while racing. Sounds like he’s the biggest hazard and threat in the sport. NASCAR and Joe Gibbs had better wake up.
Manslaughter could get him a lot of publicity
[Reply]
Kyle has got away with some pretty wreckless
driving this year He must have a horse shoe
stuck to his butt However this type of driving
will catch up to you as it did last night
Someone better get him under control or we will be loosing another driver
[Reply]
You people need to grow up and stop acting like a bunch of high school juvenile delinquents talking about how Kyle deserves to get wrecked and maybe putting someone else’s life in jeoprady. You can’t tell me that you bunch of rednecks haven’t ever gotten into your cars after drinking yourselves into a drunken stupor and putting other drivers on the roads lives in jeoprady. Be very careful what you wish on someone else.
[Reply]
he drives like a crazy man and he got what he derveres the best man won the race kyle is just a winny little baby
[Reply]
If Kyle had drag race Tony to finish line, maybe a different ending. But he didn’t and kissed the wall and other places.
[Reply]
kyle thinks that he is the best at anything on the track (wrong) i am waiting to see someone bust his a– & i hope it is Dale Jr, i personally clapped & was happy to see him wreck himself, of course i am a Jr fan & as bush says a crazy one, i would love to show him how crazy, Janice
[Reply]
thats why they call him the wild thing – its called racing – i feel sorry for all the other guys who got caught up in kyle – number 9 and 20 – bring back the dale sr and dw racing
[Reply]
I just wonder when Gibbs is gonna get tired of his crybaby Busch wrecking his cars.
[Reply]
Doowah, nobody’s wishing anything on anybody. And no one has brought up alcohol here. This is a very serious matter and you obviously don’t see it. Sounds like you have had experience behind the wheel while intoxicated. Grow up!
[Reply]
busch isnt married – if i was his girfriend that he has all the time – i would make sure if she ever got married that they had a 20 million dollar insurance policy on him – he will probably kill him self in a race or maybe someone else – he should get a clue -
[Reply]
Kyle did the same thing that any of the other drivers would have done. If that had be JR – JR Nation would be having major coronaries right now. But where did JR finish – in the back as usual. I’m not a Kyle fan but that was a serious incident. SR used to do all the stupid stuff too. So all you Kyle bashers need to go watch something else instead of racing. He makes racing exciting again and he is the only one who is not afraid to say it like it is. I’m happy to see someone finally do that.
[Reply]
Why come every time something happens to Kyle
Dale Jr. name comes up?
[Reply]
Billie Reply:
September 4th, 2009 at 7:58 pm
because every time Kyle opens his HUGE mouth he mentions Jrs name
[Reply]
I was really upset after Jr. got caught up in the wreck and had to call it a night, that I thought about not even watching the end, boy was I glad I did watch it though. This was the best 4th of July I’ve had in a while. I’m glad no one was hurt, but Kyle being knocked out of the way and Smoke winning was definitely priceless, and you knew Kyle wouldn’t do an interview, he’s so transparent. Smoke, don’t feel bad for him, it’s about time things start coming back to haunt him!!
[Reply]
Bernice: Kyle IS “afraid to say it like it is.” He runs from the press like a sissy when things don’t go his way.
[Reply]
AT LAST! God don’t like ugly, you reap what you sow. I love Tony for what he did, he is not to blame.
I was so unhappy about what happen to Dale Jr.
Then it all broke loose, thank God no one got hurt. I am not a Tony fan, I love him now
Helen

Maybe I have missed something some where along the line, but if you are saying kyle Bush is telling it like it is, please tell me what channel he is saying this on. Is it satellite or cable, I have both. Please inform me. you and I both know he runs away and HIDES. Maybe he should get himself a job making guitars, cause it would probably be better than his driving and a lot less dangerous
[Reply]
Doowah:
Yes I’m a red neck and I don’t have to depend on liquor or pills, drugs or sex from women. I don’t use these as crutch to get me thru ths day. I get my high at Church, Sunday morning, Sunday night and Wednesday night, if you are not in Church, find you a good one and star attending it regular, that i9s the only high you will EVER NEED.
[Reply]
I agree with most of what you guys are saying. But I guarantee you if it happened the other way around and Kyle turned Tony all of you would say it was Kyles fault. I agree he needs to get a better attitude but I still think he is a Great driver.
[Reply]
I was so glad to see Tony win. Oh yes do not worry about Kyle after he changes his diaper he will be the same Kyle he always is. A DOG!!!!!!!
[Reply]
take that back my dog is better than Kyle
[Reply]
I will never buy any M&Ms as long as it sponsers that piece of crap (kyle Busch).
[Reply]
TONY DID NOTHING WRONG. KYLE WAS THE INSTIGATOR
IN CAUSING THE WRECK.HE TOOK HIMSELF OUT ALONG
WITH SOME GOOD DRIVERS. HIS RECKLESS STUPIDITY
CREATES A CONSTANT HAZARD ON THE TRACK FOR ALL OF THE OTHER DRIVERS. HE HAS NO CONCERN FOR ANY
ONE BUT HIMSELF.JOE GIBBS RACING HAS TO BE TO-
TALLY ASHAMED OF CLAIMING HIM AS ONE OF THEIR
DRIVERS. THANK GOODNES NOBODY WAS SERIOUSLY
HURT IN KYLE’S LATEST NONSENSICAL BLUNDER.
[Reply]
Tony won that race fair & square. Kyle has to put the blame right where it belongs, on his own shoulders. I read where Kyle was heading for Victory Lane. If true, I wish the officals had not stopped him. Tony could have cleaned his clock twice in one night. I also read where Joe Gibbs said he was “Proud” of Kyle. I
always had a lot of respect for that man, but if he can be proud of someone of Kyles caliber, my opinion went down for him as low as it is for Kyle.
[Reply]
I was glad to see KARMA bite kyle in the ass last night..Its always all good when he does someone like that but when hes done like that he gets all ill and cries..I am glad that noone was hurt…I think Kleenex should be his primary sponsor since he uses them so much LOL…always will be a proud member of JRNATION!!!! GO 88!!
[Reply]
NASCAR, Jeremy Mayfield did nothing wrong and you need to pay him the money that he lost for the races that you so unfairly booted him from. I wouldn’t put it pass NASCAR and DR Black to switch Kyle Busch’s drug test with Jeremy Mayfield, NASCAR is very sneaky like that and the drivers do need to be told what drugs they can and can not take, not something you can change on a weekly basis.
Your drug test are flawed and you did Jeremy wrong when you tested his second sample when it was Jeremy decision where it should be tested. BTW, NASCAR, once a sample is opened you can’t send it out to a second lab to be tested, because someone in the lab at DR BLACK’S lab could of added something to it. That was the most stupidest thing that you took to court and they laughed in your face and gave Jeremy what he deserved and made the right decision to let him race. NASCAR I hope that Jeremy gets triple the money when he wins his case against you that you had to pay in your sexual discrimination case that you at the beginning lied about and said it never happen. You wouldn’t of made a settlement if it wasn’t true. Do us all a favor and sell NASCAR to someone that can take racing back where it belongs in American made cars and not have all the stupid rules that you keep on changing. NO WONDER WHY PEOPLE QUIT COMING TO RACING, MOST I KNOW GO TO LOCAL TRACKS.
[Reply]
He’s trying to figure out how to bame it on Jr, Not this time “BRANCH” Payback is hell. Play with the big dogs and you’ll end up on the porch (Medical Center)
[Reply]
I loved that quote,TOTALLY AWESOME and besides standing tall and celebrating America’s birthday you are right it does get any better than that!!!!!
Kyle makes me sick at my stomach and you can tell how immature he is by the way he storms off when he looses. How did you come up with his nickname “Shrub”
[Reply]
I’m not a Stewart fan although he has grown up
since last year. Maybe Baby Bush could attend
the Anger Management Course Tony took. The
media is in love with Bush and if Childress
and the sponsors think we will support NASCAR
or their products, they are mistaken. Bush did it to himself and once again displayed his
immature attitude. It’s always someone elses
fault as he blames other drivers. What an immature attitude.
[Reply]
Tony did nothing wrong by holding his line although he could have wrecked also. As for all you Dale, Jr. fans bashing Busch where did Jr. finish ? Somewhere in the next county ? Mr. Most Popular driver Dale, Jr. is nothing more than a so so driver and it is only a matter of time before Rick Hendrick fires him. Any bets ??
Also have you noticed that after Stewart wins a race the first person to shake his hand has been Rick Hendrick. Rumor has it that Hendrick owns Stewart`s team which is a violation of NASCAR rules.
[Reply]
It was just racing…glad no one was hurt. Congrats to Tony.He did nothing wrong.
PS. Love the nickname “Shrub”
[Reply]
Hey Dick, Busch drives for Joe Gibbs and not Childress. Also if i were Mr. Gibbs i would set Kyle down and have a long talk with him and let him know if he refuses to talk to the news media after he wrecks or after the race he will be fired. I bet then we would see a better person in Busch as he needs a father figure ?
[Reply]
I SAID WHAT GOES ARROUND COMES ARROUND AND IT DID. I THINK NASCAR AT THE VERY LEAST SHOULD FINE KYLE FOR LEAVING HIS CAR AND FIGHTING OFF OFFICIALS FOR MEDICAL CHECK, WHICH IS A RULE. NASCAR SHOULD MAKE HIM SET OUT A RACE, AS USUAL MONEY TAKES OVER RULES. I HOPE MAYFIELD WINS OVER NASCAR IN A BIG WAY. IF THIS WOULD HAVE BEEN GORDON,JUNIOR,BUSH, JONHSON , OR BIFFELL , OR ANY TOP MONEY MAKER ,IT WOULD BE HANDLED DIFFERENT. IF YOU THINK MONEY MAKES A DIFFERENCE, YOU’RE RIGHT. JUNIOR HANG IN THERE, A SLUM IS JUST FOR THOSE WHO GIVE UP. YOU GOT TIME AND PEOPLE ON YOUR SIDE. EVERY DRIVER GOES THREW THIS AT TIMES. BUSH I THINK IS HEADED FOR ONE OF THOSE TIMES. HE NEEDS A WAKE UP CALL, DRIVERS ARE TIRED OF HIS CRAP, HE’S BAD TO REPRESENT A NASCAR DRIVER. AT LEAST RUSSTY WALLACE WOULD TAKE ON THE MIKE OR AT LEAST WHINE A LITTLE.
[Reply]
RoyBoy, your as bad as Kyle. All you can do is run Jr. & his fans down. You don’t like him, fine. Just don’t post on blogs that do not concern Jr. As for the nickname Shrub. His brother Kurt said he gave him that nickname. By the way RoyBoy…just who is your driver, I don’t recall you ever saying who it is. Kyle
perhaps???
[Reply]
ROYBOY, LEAVE JUNIOR ALONE. He was caught up in a wreck caused by someone else. Several other cars were also taken out. You clearly were not watching the same race the rest of us were. Otherwise, you would known better than to be spouting off. Rick Hendrick will NOT fire him. As for Hendrick owning Stewart’s team, Tony is using equipment provided by Hendrick. Two separate teams entirely. You are not very knowledgeable, are you.

Kyle got what Kyle gives. The only time Kyle wouldn’t had done what he did to Tony was if it was a Gibbs Team mate. Kyle would rub out his brother to get a win. People that boo Kyle for driving like that are the same people who would stomp and cheer if Dale Sr. was in the lead blocking. That was an all time classic Daytona finish for sure.
[Reply]
I haven’t heard Kyle blame anyone and I’ve seen them have to force Dale Jared and others into the care center. Guess they all need to be cut down to size. Kyle didn’t do anything most of the others including the imortal idiot JR. This is just the way racing is now. I don’t like it, but it’s here till they stop it. Blocking isn’t racing and even Tony does it all the time. Yes all the time at the end of every race.Kyle is young and he’ll win a championship before JR. Jr. probably never will. He is just short on that talent
[Reply]
Wussy busch wins a race he takes a bow. Wussy busch messes up a race wrecks a lot of good raceecars and pouts off the like the wuss that he is. How about next time that he wins the network decides not to interview him? Sure his sponcers would love that. They need to ignore him.
[Reply]
FIRST,TONY DID NOT DO ANYTHING WRONG EXCEPT WIN THE RACE. WE EXPECTED THAT AS HE WAS OUT FRONT FOR MOST OF THE TIME ON THE RACE TRACK. TO USE KRY BABY SHRUB’S WORDS AT RICHMNOND WHEN HE TOOK JR OUT..”THAT’S HARD RACING” GUESS WHAT CRY BABY,,,THAT’S RACING.
I DO TAKE OFFENSE WHEN HE PUTS JUNIOR DOWN AS JR. HAS WON MPD FOR THE LAST 6 YEARS, THE REASON BEING HE IS A GENTLEMAN AND WHEN HE IS WRONG AND CAUSES ANY PROBLEMS DURING A RACE, HE GET ON THE MIKE AND APOLOGIZES TO HIS FELLOW DRIVERS AND TAKES THE BLAME FOR ANY ERRORS. YOU WILL NEVER HEAR A “I’M SORRY” COME OUT OF SHRUB’S MOUTH !!!!! GO TONY !!!!
GO JUNIOR !!!!!
[Reply]
TO DOOWAH……..DID YOU TAKE LESSONS FROM THE PEANUTHEAD KYLE ? I WAS TAUGHT THAT IF YOU HAVE NOTHING NICE TO SAY ABOUT A PERSON…SAY NOTHING AT ALL… JOIN A MESSAGE BOARD WHERE ALL YOU KYLE JERKS CAN GET TOGETHER AND SING HIS PRAISES ‘TIL THE COWS COME HOME.
P.S. I AM NOT A HILLYBILLY AS YOU SUGGEST..COME ON UP HERE TO NEW YORK….
[Reply]
I agree Tony didn’t do anything wrong but Kyle needs to know that not all drivers are going to be like Jr & put up with his sh–.He is his own worst problem NO ONE else is. If He had people treat him the way he has treated some of the drivers(Jr. for one)then maybe this sh– would stop. Tony has had his time were he wasn’t liked alot but never like this. Kyle shows NO One RESPECT & if he doesn’t learn from this then he needs another 6 car pile up to come his way. I can’t believe Kurt hasn’t knocked him around after the hit he gave Kurt in that race when he knocked Kurt into the wall last yr.
[Reply]
I saw nothing wrong with what Tony did Saturday night. Kyle can be a jerk all he wants but it never changes anything he does or causes. He never thinks he does anything wrong, he also THINKS hes better than anyone on the track. I say, whatever helps him sleep at night.
[Reply]
Don’t Pick On Poor Little Kyle (Shrub, Branch, Twig, Root, Seed) Busch He Doesn’t Cause All These Problems, These Are Called Opportunities. And We Are Up To Our As….. In Opportunities.
[Reply]
Tony …JR nations Thanks you…sorry for Kasey & Joey….In the end kyle will blame JR and he wasnt even on the track……LoL
#14 YAY
[Reply]
Poor baby, who is he blaming for this, Dale Jr of course and him already out of the race—way to go Tony, Keep up the good work, don’t get me wrong, I am a stinking die hard Jr Fan, always will be, but Tony is next… Grow up Kyle baby you are supposed to be a man, you wrecked yourself
[Reply]
Jr nation is so happy….kyle run your mouth now who cant Race ??????????
[Reply]
No, he has enough since to keep his mouth shut
so he does not get fined. Listen, years ago when stewart got to cup, everyone talked about him like kyle did all the booing, cheering when he wrecked, then time passed and someone else came that everyone started picking on.
stewart felt bad, because he knows if he was up there he would have tried to block to, it is called racing, and for you earnhardt sr. fans which i am one, sr. would have blocked
and blocked, that is why we loved him. but i do remember when people booed him… but like
he said do not worry, it is when they do not know who you are, for jr fans, it is called racing, jr has to learn to get thru the wrecks
like everyone else, they cannot move off the track for him.
[Reply]
so right i use to holler and scream with joy when sr. did that, so why does everyone jump on kyle. do remember sr. was blocking when his big wreck happened at daytona.
[Reply]
I AGREE WITH YOU BJ. I BET DOOWAH IS TYPING WITH ONE HAND WHILE HOLDING A BEER IN THE OTHER. TONY DID NOTHING WRONG, I GUESS CRYBABY JUST FIGURED THAT TONY WOULD MOVE OVER FOR HIM. WELL GUESS HE WAS WRONG. THAT WAS A STUPID MOVE, BUT THATS BUSCH FOR YOU, HES RIGHT AND EVERYONE ELSE IS WRONG. HE ACTS LIKE HE IS ABOVE EVERYBODY, THAT EVERYONE SHOULD BOW DOWN TO HIM. I GUESS THEY FORGOT TO READ THE MEMO IN THE DRIVERS MEETING THAT EVERYBODY SHOULD KISS BUSCH’S BEHIND AND LET HIM WIN. ANY DRIVER THAT PULLS A STUNT LIKE THAT SHOULD GET JUST WHAT BUSCH GOT, ALSO A TRIP TO THE NASCAR TRAILER. I THINK IT WAS FUNNY WHEN THE OFFICALS GRABBED HIM AND MADE HIM GO THE INFIELD CARE CENTER. GUESS HE THINKS ITS COOL TO STOMP OFF LIKE A LITTLE KID. I’VE SEEN OTHER DRIVERS STOMP OFF ON OCCASIONS, BUT NOT EVERYTIME THEY LOSE, BUSCH EVEN COMPLAINS WHEN HE WINS!!! I CAN’T WAIT TO SEE HOW HE BLAMES JR FOR THIS ONE. I WAS THINKING THAT HIS MOM AND DAD SHOULD BE SLAPPED FOR GIVING BIRTH TO HIM BUT, I REALLY THINK NOW THAT HE WAS FOUND UNDER A SLIME COVERED ROCK, AND JUST LEACHED HIS WAY INTO THE FAMILY. WELL ON TO NEXT WEEKS CONTINUING DRAMA OF WHAT WILL BUSCH CRY ABOUT THIS TIME?
[Reply]
Tony; It was not you. Kyle has a way of making every one feel bad!! He is just a LOSER!!
[Reply]
BJ you hit the nail on the head Good for you..
[Reply]
Sorry about that Kyle maybe next time, At least Jr.didn’t win– Thats all that matters!!!!!
[Reply]
How will Kyle handle the kind of season Earnhardt’s been having? This is why Dale’s at Hendrick and he’s at Gibbs. However, He’s where he can really mature and become a champion. This is where Stewart got his start,(remember how rough he was?!) and he’s becoming a class act. Kyle reminds me of DW when he was wild and crazy! And 86 wins later,He’s a class act too!
[Reply]
KYLE WHAT GOES AROUND COMES AROUND. YOU SHOULD KNOW THAT BY NOW. YOU SEE HOW JR. FELT WHEN YOU BUMP HIM AND CAUSED HIM NOT TO WIN THE RACE ONE TIME.
KYLE WAS NICE WHEN ASKED ABOUT JEREMY MAYFIELD, SOME DRIVERS LIKE BURTON, NEWMAN, NEMECHEK,PHIL PARSONS AND MORE NAMES I`VE NEVER HEARD OF IN NASCAR SHOULD HAVE KEPT THIER MOUTHS SHUT, THEY HURT THEIR OWN SELVES WITH RUDE REMARKS ON TV ABOUT JEREMY .A GOOD AND NICE DRIVER DOESN`T TALK RUDE ABOUT THE OTHER DRIVERS.I FEEL JEREMY WAS INNOCENT DR.S CAN MAKE MISTAKES.SOME WON`T ADMIT IT. I FEEL THE FEW THAT MADE REMARKS THAT COULD HURT SOMEONE SHOULD APOLOGIZE ON TV TO JEREMY.
[Reply]
Lol, Joe, I wish I could have been there in person to see the crash. WTG Tony, you did nothing wrong and even if you did, it WAS MOST AWESOME!!!!! I don’t blame ANYONE for putting that idiot kyle lil tit crybaby busch in any wall or wrecking him, making him lose control of his car with his own stupidity, it’s all good and makes the race even more worth watching. I will be at Chicagoland this coming weekend and hope to see a replay of that on both nights, Tony, or anyone else who can make my NASCAR weekend the best it has ever been by taking out that idiot AGAIN!!!! BOO HOO HOO, lil tit crybaby. All good things happen to those who wait!!!!!! GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO JR!!!
[Reply]
To linda88, I am sure the lil tit crybaby will find some kind of a reason to blame Jr. He always does!!! Wasn’t Tony GREAT???!!!
[Reply]
Looj at the replay if you think Tony did something wrong.
One day Kyle will understand he has a long way to go to be a driver like Tony.
Kyle is a brat wanting his cake & eating it too!
I was so over joyed when Kyle hit the wall,
But glad that,” No one was hurt for the stupidity of a arrogant, inmature, little boy”!
The other drivers did not deserve the finish & I hope they all let Kyle no how they really feel.
I would love to see Nascar put their foot down on the way Kyle drives,& let him set out a few races.
[Reply]
Don’t you people (especially JR fans) have anything good to say about other drivers? Kyle has never cried and shown tears that I know of. And it’s not whining when you’re telling the truth. No one says a driver has to be interviewed after a race (unless you finish in the top 5). If Kyle had stayed to be interviewed, you would bash his statements as well as you bash his non-interview. He’s one of the best drivers in NASCAR (count his wins in all 3 series. Joe Gibbs knows a good driver and one who deserves his great equipment. Joe states that Kyle is not anything like you ignorant people try to make him sound. And you should never cheer, clap, or jump for joy when a driver (any driver) wrecks. Applaud him for not getting hurt as we do football players who are carried from the field. As for going to the care center, the officials should have been there to give Kyle a ride from the wreck -not chase him down after he has walked to the infield. I can remember Carl Edwards hopping and skipping to the finish line at ‘DEGA and all of you cheered. I have not seen anything nor heard anything to suggest that Kyle blames anyone for what happened. You are assuming alot when you say that. Remember assume is an a– of u and me. For the Jeremy mess, I say “innocent until proven guilty” and I really think all of this is NASCAR’s way of getting even for Jeremy saying on camera the truth about his former owner. Could that previous owner be behind this? After all, he lost almost everything in his divorce. Hope Jeremy comes out a winner in this and hope he is able to sue the pants off NASCAR as the official did recently. That would be justice if he came back to race as an owner with money furnished by NASCAR for the slander they have put out. If he is proven to be guilty, then I would be the first to say NEVER ALLOW HIM ON THE TRACK AGAIN. Glad my prayers were answered and my driver was not hurt seriously when Kyle’s car came down on his windshield. Also glad Joey got thru that. As for JR fans, I have not seen any better finish with the new crew chief. I think he wanted to keep his cousin in that position. I cheer for JR whenever he does something well even tho I’m not a fan of his. You fans should give other drivers that same respect. Go KASEY. Stay in that chase and win some more. Don’t let that awful wreck cause you to back off (as some fans think Gordon has done)and remember the 2006 season when you won more than any other driver. I’m waiting for you to do that sgain. See you Labor Day week-end in Atlanta and also in Alabama later. YOU’RE THE BEST!!!!!!!
[Reply]
To Max, my driver is no longer around as i was a Dale, Sr. fan who owns a lot of Sr. die cast cars, etc. two of which is worth over $1000.00. No i am not a Kyle Busch fan but will give him credit as being one keck of a driver. Who do i pull for now; anyone who is in front of a Rick Hendrick car. Why, because Hendrick is a convicted felon who was pardoned by another crook, Bill Clinton.
[Reply]
WAY TO GO SMOKE!!!!!! THIS WAS AN AWESOME RACE AND AGREE WITH MOST PEOPLE ABOVE THAT YOU DID NOTHING WRONG. I HATE TO SEE A BAD WRECK LIKE THAT ESPECIALLY WHEN IT TAKES OUT SO MANY GOOD DRIVERS. I DON’T WANT TO SEE ANYONE SERIOUSLY HURT OR KILLED BECAUSE THEY TRY TO BE A HERO. KYLE IS NO HERO, HE IS ONE OF THE MOST ARROGANT AND OBNOXIOUS DRIVERS THAT I HAVE EVER SEEN. I WISH THE OFFICIALS WOULD HAVE LET GO TO VICTORY LANE AND CONFRONT SMOKE BECAUSE I THINK SMOKE IS A MUCH BIGGER MAN THAN KYLE WILL EVER BE. CONGRATS SMOKE ON THE AWESOME WIN AND TO DENNY HAMLIN, YOU ALSO RAN A HELL OF A RACE. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK #14-11-20-39!!!
[Reply]
hey Joe, couldn’t agree more , best part of the race, tho the drivers won’t admit it I only hope they all have had enough of the shrub kid now and quit letting him pull all this crap and get by with it, he always drives like that and gets by with it maybe now we will see him get what he deserves and it ain’t wins
[Reply]
I think Kyle is accomplishing exactely what Nascar needs. He is getting racing talked about. Even 6 time MPD JR isn’t capable of this. In private like Tony, Kyle is good to people in need. He is the only one who offered his truck to Johnny Benson because he thought it unfair JB was let go and lesser people kept. JB is as nice as there is anywhere and I don’t think he would bash Kyle. He also has helped out past racers in financial trouble. He races hard because that is what he does. Not talking after an incident is a way not to make things worse. Without him I wouldn’t probably watch as often. I am a Matt Kenseth fan who is a guy who is very quiet. But I think Nascar needs Kyle to keep interest alive. Whether you want him to win or lose you do tune into to what happened to him or because of him.

kyle got what was coming to him Tony drove better that just how it is

WAY TO GO TONY

way to go tony

[Reply]
kyle got his !!!!!!!!!!!
[Reply]
it wasn’t wether or not it was coming to anyone it’s what it is and the way racing is now. it just happened to be Tony and Kyle this time. Neither wanted to give because they are racers. The result is obvious and not really a fault of anyone. Could it have been prevented yes, but someone would have had to give and that is tough for competitive racers. When that checkered flag is waving just ahead that is what you see and try to be first to. You don’t say I don’t have a chance and pull over and let the rest past. you give it your all like tony and kyle did. It’s too bad JR can never get in that position so we could talk about him in a winning way.
[Reply]
kasey get a life, kyle caused the wreck and was the one who tore up a lot of cars and could have got someone killed. he’s a good driver at times, and really dumb and bad at times. look at smart drivers, they don’t come any smarter than gordon, johnson , martin, burton, tony, and biffel. look at the points, i rest my case.
[Reply]
harry – if your comments were meant for me, just let me say: I don’t see Martin, Burton, and Biffle in the chase at this time. All drivers out there are smart or they would not be there. Racing accidents happen (ACCIDENTS). No one causes these wrecks on purpose!!!!!!
[Reply]
steve1: All the drivers are good to people in need. Shrub is NOT the only driver who gets kudos on this subject. If he accomplishing what NASCAR needs, I certainly hope it doesn’t turn out to be a fatality on the track.
[Reply]
hey kyle stop trying to balme tony for your dumb wreck. all you do is complain and whine about everything. back off and start takeing credit for your actions. you are a bad driver and thats just about it.

Like Stash, I quit buying M&M’s since they started sponsoring that jerk to promote their products. What kind of message does it send to our kids to smash a beautiful, original Gibson guitar/trophy. I mean he’s not a rock star and if he was, I would have to give up listening to rock music too.
[Reply]
MY ONLY HOPE IS THAT IT HAPPENDS TO HIM AT EVERY RACE!!!!!!
[Reply]
HaHaHa I remember Kyle hitting Jr. last year and costing Jr. the win. So Kyle Krybaby got his! It is funny!

I hope Kyle keeps bowing to the fans. I feel like he is bowing to all of us Jr nation fans. So keep it up shrub.

I’m a die-hard Dale Jr. fan, but Kyle Busch is one of the best ever drivers in NASCAR. Give the kid a break………..SOMEDAY KYLE BUSCH WILL SHOW YOU ALL!
[Reply]
You got that right Tony. Dale wasn’t anywhere around when Kyle pulled his little trick, but once again Kyle and his fans have to bring up Dale and try to place the blame on him somehow. Just goes to show how jealous and insecure they are about Dale. I agree with some of the others that say Kyle will be the cause of some driver some day. Hope not, but the chances are pretty good when dealing with a hot head jackass like Kyle
[Reply]
What is Kyle going to show except to act like a spoiled brat when things do not go his way.He needs to go to manner school then and only then will he act his age.
[Reply]
K BUSCH SUCKS!!!!! THATS ALL THERE IS TO IT.

I’ve just figured it out! Jr was talking to Tony on his headset telling him how to wreck Shrub. That’s how he got blamed for wrecking the idiot. That’s all folks!

YEA TONY
YOU ARE THE MAN.
I do not know about you people but I thought after the race Kyle had the best looking car on the track.
[Reply]
I don’t feel it was Toney’s fault at all. He made the pass Kyle just didn’t want to give it to him. It was a stupid move on Kyle’s part and his car was totaled becasue of it…but oh yea he don’t have to pay for it. It’s just racing boyz!!!!!!!!

I don’t know why Kyled thinks he such hot stuff, it’s ok for him to play dirty but when the shoe’s on the other foot, he wants Tony black flagged. Grow up Kyle, your not ready to play in a big mans ball game.
[Reply]
Oh no he hasn’t said anything! He just ran across the track trying to go after Tony like he could do some damage. He whines. He whines over every little thing that doesn’t go his way. Its like watching a 2 yr old race, “they scratched me!” get a grip whiner. Its just racing when he does it. Now idoit how does it feel.
