Hanna Threatens Nascar
September 4th, 2008 | by RacingWin |Tropical Storm Hanna postpones Sprint Cup race until Sunday.
NASCAR has postponed all activities at Richmond until Sunday. The Cup race will run Sunday at 1 pm, followed by the Nationwide race.
Tropical Storm Hanna is drawing a bead on the Carolinas and Virginia, and threatening to throw gasoline on the smoldering rivalry between Kyle Busch and Carl Edwards.
Sprint Cup qualifying — which was set to get underway Friday at 6:10 pm — was rained out.
The field will line up by owner’s points according to the NASCAR rulebook.
That will put Kyle Busch on the pole — and Carl Ewdwards on the outside of the front row. Oh, and by the way, that will also put Dale Earnhardt Jr starting on the outside of the 2nd row.
Let’s see, who did Kyle wreck the last time NASCAR raced at Richmond? Oh yeah, Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Talk about a wreck waiting to happen when the green flag flies and the field storms into turn one.
I guess Kyke had better be fast since the rain didn’t hold off.

I want to Dale Jr win! kyle’s a very aggressive driver. What goes around comes around. Dale Jr is a very honorable, down to earth and personable guy (besides being good to look at) and he deserves to win>

I like Jr… Let’s not forget, he is an Earnhardt… did he not learn a few driving tips from his “Daddy”? I remember a much more aggressive driver just a few years ago. I’m sure Mr. “H” has helped temper him somewhat, but honestly I believe there is still a low burning fire smoldering in there. He is still on good behavior for the sake of the new team. From what I see & read his new found home with Hendricks has brought much needed peace & harmony in his life, but Kyle I still say watch out! Don’t turn your back on a sleeping tiger!!!!!!!!

I think Kyle likes to see how many people he can put down and likes to take out Dale Jr for the fun of it. He’s not very curtious like the other drivers when it comes to letting the faster drivers pass when nessesary. (How Rude)!!!!!

Unfortunately, even wrecking the little shrub wouldn’t make a difference. The only benefit would be to get him out of the way of the serious drivers for that race. He’s still in chase, and still going to be a future pain.
It would be fun to watch him sit on the side & pout till the end of the race. He probably wouldn’t hang around though. He’d do like he did Mr. Hendrick & take off as soon as his car got banged up… leave another driver to finish up his duties (oh hey, wasn’t that Jr?)

You all our a nut case, to wish anyone harm in any of our NASCAR RACES!! you are more then likely the reason Jr. is’nt doing so well right now,you’ve put a curse on Jr.and he sure don’t need that!!As for Kyle,,I’ve been a fan of him and Kasey Kahne since Rusty left,but I care for “most”allof the drivers!! That’s what the sport is about!Racing,Racing to WIN! SO say what you will about our contenders,but remember this is racing!!Love it for what it is!!!!!

I have to chuckle, all of the above is so true. I am a Jr fan all the way. I will not take away Kyle’s talent but he has no respect for the other drivers on that field. I have never seen such a cry baby. I think when the chase starts all those other 11 teams in the chase are through moving out of his way in order not to get wrecked. He was let go from Hendrick for all the wrecked cars and disrespect on the track last year not because of Jr. He has a short memory. Watch out Kyle what goes around comes around.
