Dale Earnhardt Jr joins GoDaddy.com

GoDaddy.com will sponsor the No. 5
Chevrolet in the NASCAR Nationwide Series in 2008. Plans
are for Dale Earnhardt Jr to be behind the wheel for 2
races: the April Texas race, and the August road course
race at Watkins Glen.
GoDaddy is the world’s largest internet domain
registrar, and also provides website hosting and
internet marketing services.

Like his No. 88 Amp –
Mountain Dew – National Guard paint scheme, Dale
Jr also designed the racy
black,
orange and green paint scheme for GoDaddy.

The internet
firm will be the primary sponsor for the No. 5 Chevrolet
in 2008. Earnhardt will share driving duties with Mark
Martin and Ron Fellows.
“I’m very proud of
this car and I’m looking
forward to driving it and representing GoDaddy.com in
select Nationwide Series races this year,”
Earnhardt said. “It’s
racy and edgy. It’s a
sharp-looking car and we are going to have some fun
driving it this year.”

GoDaddy was thrilled to add Dale Jr to it’s
sponsorship program. |

“We’re excited to welcome GoDaddy.com to our
Nationwide Series effort,” said Marshall Carlson,
general manager of Hendrick Motorsports. “With a driver
lineup of this caliber, we have a great opportunity to
take our new partner to victory lane in 2008. It’s
shaping up to be an exciting season with GoDaddy.com, JR
Motorsports and the No. 5 Chevrolets.”
Junior joins the Indy Racing League’s Danica Patrick as
spokesperson for GoDaddy. Danica appeared in GoDaddy ads
in the last Super Bowl. I wonder if Dale Jr will do the
same this year?
