Earnhardt Talladega Win Impossible
Earnhardt Talladega Win Impossible
If you are running 17th at Talladega with 5 laps to go you are not going to win. It’s impossible. You might as well park the race car. You ain’t gonna win. Nobody is that good.
Unless your name is Earnhardt.
This was Dale Earnhardt’s last win.
As I stood there watching the final few laps unfold I remember thinking that Dale’s not gonna win this one, even though he had always been so strong at Talladega.
Then with 4 laps to go the No. 3 was a little closer to the front.
With 3 laps to go Dale was closer still.
When the white flag flew Dale was in the lead.
How is that possible?

That was one great race, I went and watched in person, really amazing for the man of Nascar…

Now this is what is called racin’. No one had the mojo like Sr. Now Jr. needs to find that mojo and just drive the damn car. Gotta say the racin’ is still just as good! We just don’t have the rivalry’s that we used to during this time. We miss you Dale Sr.

Dale jr will not win this race from 17th place cause he has no confidence or will not have any friends to help him.

Come on we are talking about Dale Earnhardt, master of the draft king of super speedways. How about the time he came up the middle and win the race, to me that was more exciting than this win. If there is one person that can do that, it is DALE JR.
[Reply]
I watched like 2 full races in 09 and slowly stopped completley, Dale jr. What a shame. He lost me..
Sorry fans of nascar. If jr. Not winning people stop watchin.
That’s all there is to say. And how bout Menard? He and Jr should just settle for 30th and 31st and call it a day.

OH YEH DAN, HOW WOULD YOU LIKE TO MAKE A FRIENDLY WAGER $5.00 HE WINS THIS WEEK HOW DOES THAT SOUND MISTER DAN?
[Reply]
DALE SR IS, WAS AND STILL IS THE MAN! NOBODY COULD DRIVE A RACE CAR LIKE HIM. IT WOULD BE GREAT IF HE WERE STILL WITH US.#3 FOREVER!
[Reply]
That was when racing was fun and exciting. You were on your feet most of the race because you never knew what was going to happen next. If nascar would go back to this kind of racing maybe some of their fans would return. The car of tomorrow is not all its cracked up to be and as for Dale Jr. I love him and I am a big fan and I hope that next year he finds his groove and makes it to the top.

You are so right. There is an always be only Dale Sr. who can drive a car like that. Sure wish Jr. could get back to winning. Good Luck Jr. We know you can do it . Just have confidence like your Dad did. He is watching. Go For IT.

Now thats racing!!! I have been watching Nascar since it first started beig televised. Dale Earnhardt was the greatest. This piece of crap car they have now, could you imagine what Dale would tell Bryan France today if he were still with us. Not to sure if the best surgeons in the world could removed it after Dale shoved it were it belongs. The COT is a piece of crap. It took Dales death to put all these safety things in place. If they would have put softer walls in, etc. I think they could have made the old car safer also, and we would still have racing that was exciting. Now it’s just a joke…God Bless you Dale, you’ll forever be “The Man”.

Forgot to ask…does anyone know where to order Dale Jrs. signature car. My name is supposed to be on the right side. But when I clicked on the link, it said “this item is not available yet”???

It was on QVC. Try nascar.com or Dale Jrs web site. Maybe after the race you will find it. Also Racing .com

That was Dale Sr., a lot of difference to Jr.

Thank you, thank you, for that clip. That was Dale, you could never count him out, he was the best to ever sit down behind a steering wheel. I am go grateful that I got to meet him several times, he was one great man, and I’ll always miss him. Racing will never be the same, now what he did was race and that is missing from now races. I live in Metro Atlanta, we use to go to every race at Talladega, but haven’t been back since Dale got into that terrible wreck and broke his chest bone and also got into the wreck with Bill Elliott and got terribly burned, we can’t seem to bring outselves to go back because of those bad memories. We will forever miss Dale, Our love to Jr. and good luck to him.

NASCAR NEEDS ANOTHER LEADER WITH THE WAY THINGS ARE GOING IT WILL SLOWLY GO DOWN HILL AS YOU SEE NOW. WE LIKE TO SEE PUSHING AND ACTION IN RACING. NOT PIT AND GAS RACES,ALL THE DRIVERS CAN DRIVE AND STAY AWAY FROM EACH OTHER,AND MAKE IT BORRING FOR US TO WATCH. WE LIKE TO GET MAD AND SEE DRIVERS GET MAD. I MUST SAY I LIKE TO SEE KYLE RAISE THE LEVEL OF RACING UP. A LOT OF FANS OF RACING LIKE TO SEE THIS.

No doubt about it Dale Sr was the best.No one can ever take his place.Dale Jr is his on person, can’t be his dad. Good luck to him tomarrow and always.Next year will be better for him. Dale Sr came up the hard way when they had to win to race the next week to pay the bills. They had no money to waste so they raced to win.

Jr’s got to lose the “Voodoo” name that is giving him bad “Mojo”. It’s the only way he will recover and get back on top.
He’s a hell of a racer. Has big money behind him. Even has good direction in the pit.
His luck changed when he took on a company name that can only bring about misery.
Pray that he drops this name!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for sharing that clip. Dale Sr. is the reason I became a fan. He was known for coming from the back of the pack to win. Which was very exciting. He will forever be THE MAN. He will always be my favorite. I will never give up on Jr. His day will come.

MISSING #3!!!!!!!!!!!!!BRINGS TEARS TO MY EYES!

Dale Earnhardt was the best there ever has been or ever will be. Watching him come through the pack was such a thrill. You always expected the unexpected when he was racing. Dale Jr. is a very good driver; I think he just doesn’t have as good equipment or as good a team as the other Hendrick drivers. Give him a quality car and a quality team, he’ll win races. A true fan would not quit watching just because their driver isn’t winning; a true fan will remain loyal and support their driver. I admit that I quit watching a race whenever Jr. has no chance to win due to being involved in a wreck or to problems with the car. I am so disappointed for him I just can’t bear to watch.
[Reply]
Reading my above comment, it sounds like I am contradicting myself. To clarify, I meant to say a true fan will not give up on racing altogether if their driver is having a winless streak. You never know when that streak will be broken. I only quit watching a race in which Jr. has no chance to win. I do watch every race up to that point where it is obvious that his day is done. Even then, I might continue to watch; it all depends on who is out front. If I watch a race to the end only to see the likes of Kyle Busch or his mouthy teammate Denny Hamlin win, I feel like kicking myself for having wasted the time watching.
[Reply]
We lost Dale Sr. ,Nascar kept raising the cost of going to the races , we were RAPED at every hotel near the event and now they ask what happend to the FANS? It was all the Greedy Pricks that dictated how much we had to spend to attend a race. Nascar you got exactly what you deserved !
[Reply]
This is one of the reasons I’ve always said he was , the best, he really was the master especially at Talladega. No-one will ever fill his shoes, not Jeff Gordon, Jimmie Johnson, Kyle Busch, Denny Hamlin, not even his own son could ever do what Dale did, regardless of how many races or championships they win, no- one will ever be like the greatest driver whom ever lived. Give Jr. a car that will handle and run, he will win races but will never be like his Dad and we shouldn’t expect it of him, some people expect that but we shouldn’t put that kind of burden on Jr. but make no mistake Jr. can drive a race car!!!!!

AND YOU CALL YOURSELF A EARNHARDT FAN ????
First of all people are still watching and your’e not a race fan if you don’t encourage your driver to do better. We all have good days as well as bad days. A TRUE fan is one who will go to the ends of the earth for his (or her) driver…..Earnhardt or someone else.
GO DALE JR. …..WE GOT YOUR BACK.

I agree! You are either a fan of someone or you are not. Winning or losing you should stand by your driver. I am a Tony fan but love Jr. and am happy when he wins. I have many favorites but Tony is at the top. Jr., Mark, Carl, Joey and more. These guys put their lives on the line for our enjoyment. Don’t badmouth your driver, stand up tall with him. Tony wasn’t in the chase last year but I did not abandon him.
