I became a fan many many years ago. Back them I was a die hard Richard Petty fan.Went to his final race at Charlotte and for many yrs just became a fan for whoever drove his cars. Didn’t matter the driver,it was owned by the King. Then I had to finally decide I needed a driver of my own. So Dale Jr came along. Sorry to ya’ll who were a Sr. fan..I was not a fan of Sr. But I saw and still see something in Jr that I only see in one other driver out there. (YUP MARK MARTIN) I don’t base my fav’s on a car make. I base it on a driver. And what I feel coming from him. Dale Jr loves racing! Period. He has a soul of a racer.Win or lose he loves to race. He does it fair. Does not want to wreck anyone. Just want’s to race and be his own man. I wish people would stop harping on who his daddy is. Yes Dale Sr was a great driver. But he is gone now.And Jr is here. He should not be judged by his daddy anymore than Dale Jarrett,Kyle Petty or any other father and son combo. They are not their dad’s. They are themselves and the pressure that get’s put on them is not fair. Let it go and let Dale Jr become his own self,and not his dad’s image. Two diff styles of racing people. And Dale is a awesome driver and also a great person in his own right.Let him love the sport,enjoy his fans and drive. I will be a Dale Jr fan until he is no longer racing.And as far as i’m concerned Nascar is my sport !

I AGREE, IF JR #88 DOESN’T WIN I AM PULLING FOR TONY STEWART OUR #14. ARE YOU ALL AWARE OUT THERE THAT DALE EARNHARDT JR IS NO LONGER INTERESTED IN RACING? HONEST, HE ISN’T! NOTICE HOW PRICES ON ALL 88 MERCHANDISE IS GOING DOWN-DOWN-DOWN……….WAKE UP! ALSO, HE DELIBERATELY RUINED HIS CAR ON SUNDAY SO HE COULD PULL OUT OF THE RACE……….HE LOVED WHAT HE DID. AGAIN, ALL YOU 88 FANS OUT THERE, WAKE UP!!! JR. WANTS TO WORK BEHIND THE SCENES.

WRONG! With Jr. driving we’ll see a last finish but with Brad we COULD AND WOULD MOST LIKELY SEE A WIN. If Brad drove the 88 car in Sunday’s race, I know he would bring that car in second or third. Beating Jimmie J. is way too difficult for anyone under 10 years experience.

jr did good for awhile, maybe next time. indy is just to fast and borring. most exciting thing that happened, bush hitting wall and the mexican guy speeding on pit row. other than jr blowing up , all went well.glad he was able to drive and do good for a time.
