Don’t Fire Tony Eury Jr Yet

Some Dale Earnhardt Jr fans seem to feel that nothing short of Tony Eury Jr’s head on a stick will solve the No.88 team’s problems.
I don’t agree with that - not one bit.
With Eury’s help Dale Jr is running 4th in the points. If Eury is doing such a shabby job, then there are 39 other crew chiefs that are doing a worse job.
I am not saying that the No. 88 team is where it needs to be right now, but it’s not far off.
Rick Hendrick did not get to be where he is today by hiring people who couldn’t get the job done. Apparently Hendrick saw qualities he liked in Eury.
In fact, when Eury first came to Hendrick Motorsports the other crew chiefs were eager to debrief him and learn what he brought from DEI - which was quite a lot.
The only thing Eury needs to work on is the same thing Dale Earnhardt Jr needs to work on - communication.
The two need to learn how to better communicate with each other as the race wears on; they need to develop a plan to make the car faster with the right adjustments - not just throw barbs at each other when things don’t go well.
Once they do that sit back and hold on tight. The 88 car will be nearly unbeatable. How do you like that?

Tony Jr. and Dale Jr. will get things straight in due time. We can’t do their jobs for them, but we sure can support them throughout the chase.

These two “Juniors” will get the job done. I have the utmost respect for and confidence in both of them. Think back to the season that Tony Jr. and the crew were taken away from Dale Jr. and given to Michael Waltrip at DEI. Dale Jr. and Tony Jr. need each other!! Seems to me Tony Jr. is doing a pretty good job.

Jr. needs to communicate better with his crew chief. Tony cannot fix the car if he does not have a good idea of what is going on. Tony is doing a heck of a job, Jr. is 4th in the standing so they are doing something right, they just need to communicate better and watch out boys they could win them a championship. Go Jr. and instead of yelling at him talk to Tony so he can help you. Keep up the great work, we are pulling for ya.

I think both of them, need to get their heads
together, and stick to job, both are great
people; I have been dale jr fan, since he was
a littl blonde headed boy running aroung with
his dad, which in my book was the greatest
driver out there. to sad that he lost his life
in what he liked doing best.

I think that as bad as things sound @ times both guys want the same thing & Dale doesn’t have the time to break in a new crew cheif.Tony & Dale have ALWAYS gone back & forth with each other like that & what makes anyone think this is going to be any different. Plus the last time people tried breaking them up Dale didn’t make the chase and had one of the worst seasons he could have had.I think we should let Dale & Tony work the way they know best & maybe with alittle help for Mr. H things will end the way everyone wants WITH THE CHAMPIONSHIP IN HIS HANDS.Tony and Dale are this far and the fans need to remember Dale & Tony & Mr.H want this as bad as JR.NATION does,if not more.
