DEI Leads in NASCAR Layoffs
According to Jayski Dale Earnhardt Inc. leads the unofficial tally of employees who have been laid off or downsized from NASCAR race teams.
DEI has reportedly laid of 116 employees.
The total for all race teams stands at 607, unofficially.
Sad news, I hope things improve soon.

I guess I didn;t make myself clear, I meant she should have left the team and then maybe better management could have turned things around. Its obvious she just likes the power.

I agree with YaiYai, she is a total disgrace to the organization that our man Dale worked so hard to build, she single handedly ruined all his dreams and snubbed her nose at his wishes for his sons. She was NOTHING before she married him and she’s NOTHING AGAIN.

Regardless of Teresa my heart goes out to all those unemployed people who worked so hard for her. I do agree she should have left the business to Dale to carry on his daddy’s dreams. Sad time as it is sad for Petty.

Personally I hope she has to apply for unemployment. She wants all the attention she can get but I sure she didn’t want to be in the Limelite this way. Sr. is turning in his grave. I don’t like to wish anyone bad luck, but this is different. She made everyone mad when she let Jr. go, now she is paying the price. Good Business Woman, NOT!!!! One good thing about it, Jr. stands to make a lot of money off the sell of DEI. It will be a SAD DAY when this happens.

How do you figure how JR is going to make any money from TE selling DEI, I doubt TE is going to will any money to JR in her legacy.

Teresa makes so much money from Dales name she will never have to endorse an unemployment check. Think about the collectibles. I just get disgusted with the way she uses his name and image just for profit like the John Wayne and Johnny Cash cars, give me a break.
As far as Jr goes, he is a much better race to race than most give him credit for. Not many drivers with 18 points wins, and 2 Busch championships. His career is certainly not over and I don’t think you will ever see him continue competing as less than a top 15 driver. More wins I feel in 09, but don’t expect to see him be a dirty driver to win, he has too much class for that. Everyone wants to see their driver have a chance to win and resent someone like Busch who will take out anyones driver to win.

BUT IT IS VERY SAD TO SEE HOW THINGS ARE TURNING OUT FOR DEI AND LEAVES A BITTER TASTE IN ALL OUR MOUTHS BUT I KNOW DALE JR HAS A BIG HEART AND HE WOULDN’T WISH ANY BAD LUCK ON TERESA OR DEI BECAUSE THAT WAS HIS DADDY’S PLACE AND HE KNOW THAT DALE SR. What happens to T. E. happens to her. Jr does not need any of her hand out now or ever. How ever there might come a day when she needs hand outs from him. one can only hope. The sad thing is the future of D.E.I. Jr is secure in his racing or buisness future now and forever.

DEI died when Dale,Sr passed. The only thing she was good at was pushing his merchandise, as
far as racing, she has or had any concept, IT WAS ALL DALE, SR.
Jr,does not NEED HER, IT WAS, IS A SHAME that a
business that was MEANT FOR HIS SON had to end the way it did, however, I HAVE LEARNED A GREAT DEAL into the past of the son and father,
I believe it revied those older than me, I am 66, to tell their stories and I found that to be very interesting because it showed a relationship that WAS AND IS greater than racing with other older crews etc. She needs to
sell it for JUNK because she doesn’t have the equipment or technology that the teams need.

I think that T.E. is a cold hearted nobody. The way that she treated jr was heartless,because he had the #8 long before she came into the picture. Every NASCAR fan knows that this number (8) was his grandfather Ralph Earnhardts number.Since #8 was a family number,given to jr by sr, T.E. had no right to keep number 8. This number should have stayed with him indefinitely!!!!!!! I HOPE SHE GETS WHAT SHE DESERVES!!!!!!!!! NOTHING!!!
