If the teams, crews and support staff aren't always thinking about how to better their cars than what's the purpose of calling it racing? Why not just call if "The race of tomorrow"? Nascar has gone politically correct and what a mistake that is. When my dad built my race car's he didn't wonder what the other drivers were doing so he could do the same. No, he was thinking about what he could do to give me the advantage. I say give the drivers, crews and companies the okay to build the cars that will win. P.S. NASCAR has the rules and the personnel to monitor, recommend and change the rules of the game but they are also as the politicians they have advisers, analyst, lawyers that before making a decision analyze the situation and depending on the risk factor they make the decision. Once again comes to $$$$ it's not only giving the spectators and fans what they want is what they can get out of it without affecting their pocket. They do have the means to control.
